TIME SKIP - FIVE DAYS LATER
I groaned loudly. Words cannot express how annoyed I am right now.
"Come on! Please Iris!"
"No."
"Why not?"
"I. Hate. Parties."
Eren and Mikasa sighed. I had my arms crossed over my chest. They were both trying to convince me to go to another party at their work, and so far it wasn't working.
"Iris, please come," Mikasa asked quietly.
I sighed. "Why should I? I'm not going to talk to anyone, I'm not going to dance, I'm not going to do anything."
I faced back to the computer and continued to work on the near finished book. I thought nothing would even tempt me to going to the party, until Eren spoke again.
"You'll see Levi."
My fingers stopped moving on the keyboard. "...I see him anyway."
"You guys can talk alone since he won't be with Petra. You guys also hate parties equally so there's that."
I bit my lip and hesitantly continued typing. You're not going to the party, Iris. You're not going. No. No matter how much you really really want to just to see Levi, you are staying home.
I heard Mikasa sigh. She put her pale hand on my shoulder. As she did, I heard Eren's footsteps, most likely leaving my room.
"Iris," she pleaded quietly, "please come. It's really important that you do. Trust us."
I stayed silent. What she was saying made me want to go even more.
"You do trust us, right?"
"Of course I trust you guys," I replied instantly, my eyes still glued to the screen.
"Then come to the party."
I didn't say anything. I didn't know if I should go or not. I thought I was done with all these stupid parties and shit.
Mikasa moved her hand from my shoulder and didn't even bother to sigh. All I heard was her footsteps fading away as the seconds passed by.
"It starts at seven if you change your mind," she stated. "And I really hope you change your mind."
Then she was gone.
I stopped typing and slumped down in my chair. I buried my head in my hands and groaned loudly once more.
Mikasa's voice sounded so sad and defeated whenever I didn't say anything. She practically begged me to go and I didn't give her a straight forward answer.
Why do they want me to go so bad? Why? It's just some stupid party. Why does it matter so much? They wouldn't even tell me.
I sighed. I got up out of my chair. I bit my lip and started pacing back and fourth across the room, debating whether or not I should go.
In the end, I pulled out my phone and dialed a specific number.
"Hello?"
"Coffee."

"What's up?"
"You should know considering Erwin is your husband," I mumbled while putting my cheek on my knuckle.
Hanji laughed loudly. "Ah, is this about the party?"
"Yup," I told her while popping out the 'P'.
I stayed quiet for a moment before smiling wide. "Ah! You need help picking out a dress don't you?" she exclaimed.
"Actually-"
She stood up out of her chair dramatically, cutting me off with her excitement. "I know exactly what you should wear! It's going to be-"
"Hanji!" I yelled. "I don't know if I'm going or not."
She stared at me for a moment before sitting down. She put her hands under her chin and looked at me with a serious look.
"Why do you not want to come?"
I shrugged. "I'm not big on parties. I didn't even want to go to the first party Hanji, why would I want to go to this one?"
She smiled at me. "It'll be fun. Come on Iris, what's the worst thing that could happen?"
"A panic attack..." I mumbled.
"Eh?!" she asked with a surprised look. "I didn't know you had anxiety."
"That's why I'm always reluctant to go to big parties like this," I told her with another shrug. "Or any huge social place really."
"Iris, please come!" she begged. "It's really important that you- Oops!"
I raised an eyebrow at her. "Hanji..." I said slowly. "Why is it important that I go to that party? You, Eren, and Mikasa have and something about it."
"Please please please please please come!"
"Not unless you tell me why it's important that I do," I stated defiantly.
She sighed and stayed quiet. "Iris, please accept the fact that I can't tell you, but it's super important that you do go."
"Hanji," I whined.
"Look, a certain person wants you to go for a certain reason. The reason is important. Like, really important. Please trust me. You will want to come. If you don't," she just sighed. "Please just come."
"Do I know this person?"
"Not on a personal level."
I bit down on my bottom lip. Hanji, Mikasa, and Eren all want me to trust them. They've all said that there's an important reason why, but won't tell me.
I sighed.
"...Fine... Fine. I'll go. I trust you guys."
"Yay!!" Hanji squeled.
I laughed at how excited she was. "I'm going to need help on picking on a dress you know."
"Oh yeah! Let's go now!"
She grabbed my wrist and started to drag me out the coffee shop after laying money on the table.
Even though I was laughing, I was still nervous about going to the party.
I hope the reason is important.
