Chapter 5: Lunch Date

I woke up to the sound of my phone going off. Today I didn't have work, so someone must've been calling me. I groaned and rolled over on my side. I grabbed the phone and read the name.

Eren.

I sighed and answered it. "What? I was sleeping."

He chuckled. "Sorry. But you do realize it's almost eleven, right?" he asked.

"No."

"Well anyway," he said, "it's almost lunch. Do you want to get some together?"

I sighed and rubbed my eye. "Yeah. I'll be at your office in five minutes or so."

"Yeah, five minutes," he said with a grin.

I rolled my eyes and sat up. "Be quiet."

He laughed. "Bye, Iris."

"Bye," I said with a smile. I hung up and tossed the phone on the bed. I got up quickly and made my way towards the closet.

I got some black skinny jeans and put them on quickly. I then got out a black "My Chemical Romance" tank top and put it on also. I brushed my hair out then straightened it. I grabbed a black beanie and put on white combat boots.

Such hipster...

I probably should stop dressing like this...

I grabbed my purse and phone. I quickly headed towards the front door, grabbing my car keys off the coffee table.

It was warm outside today. The fact that I was wearing a lot of black today didn't help. Like I said, I preferred the cold over the heat.

The sky was a bright blue and there weren't too many clouds. The sun was shining brightly, tanning my skin slowly.

I quickly walked towards the building and pulled the door open. Inside it was much cooler. I smiled slightly and made my way towards the elevator.

I tapped my foot impatiently on the floor as I waited. I stared at my reflection in the elevator doors. There wasn't anything else to look at sadly.

The silver doors opened after what felt like hours and I went to find Eren. The room wasn't too loud. Some people were talking quietly by the coffee machine, others were just typing away on the computer.

I finally spotted the brunette talking with a coworker. I walked up to him and smiled. "Ready?"

He smiled at me and intertwined our hands. "Yup."

"This your girlfriend?" his coworker asked. I nodded and he smiled at me. He extended his hand out and I shook it awkwardly. "You can call me Bert."

"Oh, well, hi Bert," I said with a slight laugh.

"You know, he doesn't shut up about you at times," he said with a grin. My eyes widened and I felt myself blush. I looked over at Eren who was blushing also.

Bert chuckled. "Well, you two have fun." He gave us a smile and walked away.

Eren cleared his throat. "Right, well, let's go."

We started to walk and I grinned. "Heh, how nice of you Eren," I teased. "Talking about me so much."

He gave me a soft glare and I laughed. He opened his mouth to say something, but a certain feminine voice cut his off.

"Oh, hi guys!"

Eren and I looked away from each other and saw Petra and Levi. She had a smile while he was looking at me with an agitated look. I glared at him.
