You pause in between your words,
Because you want me to fill in those empty spaces with your thoughts.
You hope that if you think loud enough,
I'll be able to hear you with your mouth closed.
No words can explain the doubt I feel when you smile and nod.
No words can reassure me it will become easier,
Because darling, I know it's not.
