Background
The end of the 4th holy Grail war was upon them.Kiritsugu had just ordered his servant,king Arthur to destroy the Grail.This led to the curses inside pouring out onto fuyuki, leading to a fire that destroyed a large part of fuyuki.Along with this,the curses managed to corrupt King Arthurs sword, Excalibur which led to it staying in the world while King Arthur dissapered.Excalibur would find itself in the hands of kiritsugu emiya who blinded by the desire to save a young boy placed the sword inside it's scabbard, Avalon and placed it inside the boy.Excalibur was purified by Avalon and healed the boy.Later in life,in the 5th Grail war the boy, Shirou would learn about the weapons inside of him and eventually learn to Summon and wield them under the guidance of King Arthur once shirou Summoned her as his servant.Eventually Shirou was accepted by the fey as the new wielder of Excalibur and Avalon.

Avalon-Rank EX,After staying inside of shirou for years and him being accepted by both Arthur and the fey the scabbard now gives Shirou the same near immortality King Arthur had in life.
