Doe-Eyed Girls
LET THE RECORDS SHOW THAT Minako has always given her all in whatever she does. Even at a young age, the idea of perfection was engraved in her head. It wasn't so much a thing that her parents insisted on, they just wanted their kids to have fun in everything that they do. But perhaps her winner mentality came from watching old videos of her father when he used to be a competitive skater. Seeing Basile Clavette at his best, skating to his content and making every jump and sequence look so simple and graceful, it was something she wanted to replicate as best as possible. At the same time, Minako didn't want her father's name to carry her weight. If she was going to be the best, she wanted it to be because she is the best, not because of some family name that followed her. So far, Minako has managed to do just that. She won in almost every competition she entered in, had more trophies and awards than her parents could store, and dedicated her life to the very sport that made her feel more alive than breathing.
Even though they weren't able to stay at the rink for more than an hour — the two were thankful that the owner had allowed them to stay with the promise that their father comes and visit them soon — she had never rested for even a minute. Though Kyoga offered his assistance by staying on the ice for a while to ensure she wouldn't hurt herself too badly, he eventually resorted to his place on the stands, watching as his little sister's face scrunched with such concentration as she skated her old sequences.
