Alejandra was woken up by a small push of her shoulder. Her eyes slightly opened before staring at a dark beige wall. She slowly rolled over to see Hank sitting beside her.
"You're in Erin's old room."
She picked her up and looked around. A picture was on the night stand of a young Erin Lindsay and Justin Voight. Alejandra's eyes matched her father's , the pain evident in her eyes.
"Come downstairs when you are done getting dressed and eat breakfast."
"I'm not hungry-"
"I haven't seen you eat in the last two weeks."
Alejandra bit back her tongue before snapping at her father because he was right. She was barely surviving on water and granola bars from the hospital.
"It's not a choice for you to argue against , you need to eat. It's an order. "He simply told her before getting up and walking out. Alejandra slowly sat up and got up out of the bed. She remade the bed before showering on and putting on one of Antonio's shirts and baggy grey sweats.
She quietly walked downstairs and Voight slid her a plate of eggs and bacon and toast. She only half of it before not being able to stomach the rest.
It was nothing but silence as Hank did the dishes and the two walked out to his car. Hank dropped her off at the entrance of the hospital.
"Call me when you need to be picked up."
She nodded and got out before going inside. The nurses looked at her and gave her small smiles as she walked to Antonio's room.
It had been two weeks and nothing has changed.
Will told her and everyone else that Antonio would wake up when he did , however long it took to open his eyes.
His beard was growing in soft patches while his hair was growing as well.
As much as she was mad that he was in here , he looked peaceful.
Their relationship had stressing him out further than he already was with the relationship with his ex wife and the failing relationship with his kids.
She had did this to him.
She knew she was supposed to follow rules and she broke them purposely and lied to not only him but to her father , to her colleagues , her friends.
The guilt was eating her up inside.
She leaned down and kissed his forehead, her left hand holding his left.
"Wake up as soon as you can." She whispered before kissing his forehead and pulling away from him. She grabbed the light blue blanket she always wrapped herself in before sitting on the slightly comfy leather sofa that was in Antonio's room.
The mayor ordered for Antonio to be put in a bigger room where more space was available and put comfy sofas in chairs inside the room as well. Not too long ago, they saved his daughter from being thrown in a local prostitution ring so this was the least he could do for the man.
She didn't know how long she was sitting there , staring off into space until the door slightly opened to show Gabby and Matt with Diego and Eva.
Eva smiled , seeing Alejandra.
"Ali !" She shouted before running over and giving her a hug."I missed you!"
"I've missed you too." Alejandra smiled. Diego walked over and gave her a hug as well.
"Are you here to see dad ?" Diego asked her and she nodded softly. Eva and Diego sat next to her on the couch. Matt looked at her.
"How you holding up ?"
"Still trying to wrap my head around a lot . I had to tell Johnny and Taylor last week and I can't get their faces out of my head." She looked at Antonio sadly. "Every dream about him turns into a nightmare."
Gabby walked over and sat on the arm rest of the sofa before hugging her.
"He's okay. He's going to wake up soon and be that pain in the ass we love him for."
"I hope so." Alejandra told her. Gabby and Matt and the kids stayed a little bit longer before they were packing up to leave.
"Have you ate today ?" Gabby asked her.
"I ate before you guys got here."
Gabby nodded. Eva and Diego gave Alejandra a hug before going to Gabby and Matt and leaving with them.
Alejandra looked at Antonio who hasn't moved a muscle for the last two weeks as she tried to calm down her fast heart rate as she felt herself get upset.
She just wanted him to wake up , just for her to tell him she loved him , tell him that everyone misses him including his adorable children who love him so much , just to see those twinkling brown eyes she fell in love with one more time.
Alejandra sniffled and rubbed her eyes before laying down on the couch with a pillow under her head. She wrapped the light blue blanket up to her chin tightly as she stared into space. The beeping of the machines slowly blending into the background as she noticed some nurses walking past and talking with doctors.
The room was completely silent, he was completely silent.
The same tears grew in her eyes and fell into her pillow softly.
He was so close but so far and it was all her fault.
All her fault.
