"I'm so tired." I sigh taking my shoes off.
"Me too." Hayes plops down on my bed that had came in a while ago. "Why'd did I even come over again?"

"Because your mom and mine are cooking for tomorrow."

"You mean the day after tomorrow?" Hayes arches his eyebrow.

"Oh yeah. See how tired I am?" I laugh.

"Yep. I can see that. But really why'd I even come when I can be laying in my bed?"

"Because I would be bored alone and so would you. Nash went with this Calum kid remember?"

"You mean Cameron?" Hayes smile.

I blush. "You know what I meant!" I throw my pillow at him.

I remember my journal and tell him about it. "Where is it?" He asks.

"Um about that did you see it?" I ask worried because I hadn't seen it while I was unpacking.

"No Jo, that's why I'm asking." He points out. I begin to panic and look in my drawers by my bed.

I loose it when I can't find it in there. "I can't find it," my voice cracks.

"Jo calm down, maybe it's between your clothes or something." He walks over and embraces me into a hug but quickly pulls away once he notices. "Sorry" he mutters.

I shake my head and tell him not worry about it. I try to keep my calm but I burst into tears. "I had everything in there." I sob.

"Jo, please." He tugs at his hair. I cry harder and I can tell he doesn't know what to do to calm me down. He walks over to my closet and looks through all the clothes. I know by the look on his face he didn't find it.

I burry my head in my pillow and scream. I feel Hayes' weight shifting the bed. "Maybe we can get another one?" He suggests. "It's not the same." I mumble into my pillow. I manage to get my face out of the pillow and look at Hayes.

Sympathy is written across his face. "I'm so sorry." I whine. "About what?" He asks. "Crying in front of you, breaking down. I just can't help it the fact that someone could read it terrifies me."

"Why?" He asks.

"Because everything is in there."

"What exactly is everything?"

"Secrets" I say under my breath.

"Oh. sorry,"

"It's ok I guess." I shrug and notice I'm just sniffling now not exactly crying.

"Jo?" I hear a yell from downstairs.

"Yes?" I yell back and wipe at my eyes. "I need to wash my face!" I tell Hayes and panic.

"Just go do it, I'll stall your mom"

I hear footsteps coming up the stairs and I run towards the restroom. I run the water and collect it in my hands. I splash it on my face and do this two more times.

I dab my face with a towel and walk out of the restroom. "Yes?" I ask my mom when I approach my room door. "I was going to inform you that you will be starting school tomorrow." I gulp and nod. Hopefully I wouldn't be bullied anymore. And hopefully Mahogany will be nice and not a stuck up bitch, since she's Hayes and Matt's only female friend

Elizabeth walks upstairs."Hayes it's time to go." Hayes nods and gives me a hug. "See you tomorrow." He winks.

I feel my breathing increase and turn to Elizabeth. "So your house?" "Yes." My mom confirms. We're probably going to have Thanksgiving dinner with the Griers and Taylor and Shawn's family. I really hope this goes well.
