As soon as I walk into my bedroom my phone vibrates, meaning I got a text. I pull it out and stare at it.

"Gemma" was written across the screen. We had exchanged numbers earlier.

Can I come over? I need help with what to wear.

the text read. As soon as I was going to reply another text pops onto the screen.

mahogany : can I go over to get ready? can I bring my friend Andrea ,too? she's great I swear.

I reply with an ok and my address to both of them and head down stairs. I make my way into the dining room and sit down on a stool next to the kitchen island.

"Hey," my mom cuts the tomatoes for dinner tonight. "hi," I reply and grab a fruit from the fruit bowl right in front of me, "can I go to a party tonight? You know, since its Friday and stuff."

My mom stopped cutting the food and looked at me. I took a bite of my Apple not really knowing what else to do. "Sure, when does it start?" She asks leaning against the counter.

"Eight," I tell her. "End?" she continues. "Um I don't know, midnight?" I suggest hoping it's enough time for both my new friends and her. "jo," she sighs.

"please?" I beg. "Fine." She huffed. "Longest you're staying is one thirty, ok?"

I nodded,"deal." I smile and take another bite. A few minutes later I hear a knock on the door.  "Expecting someone?" My mother arches her brow. "Um, actually three. They're two new friends I made and a new one that I'm meeting now." I explain and open the door.

"Hi!" Mahogany exclaimed giving me a hug , Gemma following right behind. A girl with Brown hair and nice eyes comes in next. "Hey, I'm Andrea." She stretches her arm out. "I'm Joanna," I smile and shake her hand.

"Wanna go upstairs?" I ask, awkwardly. Right On cue my neighbors knock. I groan and answer. "Hey," I say surprised when I see Nash and another boy walk in. The guy has light brown hair and eyes and messy hair. "Hey jo, do you have some water balloons? Me and Cam are going to do something."

Cam? As in Cameron? This is Cameron?

"Oh uh no I don't sorry." I notice Cam looking at Andrea and I smile a bit. "Oh, hi I'm Cameron." He tells me and the other girls, except for Lox of course. I hear him whisper something to Andrea but couldn't exactly catch it.

"Alright thanks we'll be going now." Nash says and nudges Cam on his ribs. "Ok, gosh I'm coming." Cameron says annoyed. "Bye!" they call out and Cam looks over at Andrea before completely leaving
