Maran picked it up and put it on speaker, so they could watch the cameras as they were listening to the instructions.

A metallic-sounding voice echoed through the small room:"Hello, hello!.."

Maran didn't pay much attention, and nearly didn't hear that the guy on the phone said something about the animatronics moving, some sort of programming mistake, and that they might try to stuff the kid in an empty suit, which would ultimately kill them.

The kid laughed at that, they thought he was playing a prank on them. But then they looked at main stage again. Bonnie was missing.

The kids heart felt as if it'd stopped beating for a moment, only to pick up a faster pace. They felt lightheaded for a moment. Maran looked through the other cameras, only to find the big purple-blue rabbit standing in the dining area.

They sighed and stood up. They barely remembered Mike's warning to stay put and left the room. Walking down the hallway, they heard someone else's steps too, and then heavy, metallic ones. The kid knew that they weren't alone.

As they entered the dining area, seeing the stage with Freddy and Chica on top. Bonnie was close to the hallway Maran just came out of. Looking around the room with many shadows and also many hiding spots, they wondered who'd be able to pull such a prank.

"Who's there?", they called out, mildly worried. They remembered what the guy over the phone had said, that the animatronics would see them as an endoskeleton without a suit. They looked Bonnie up and down a few times, then stepped closer. Suddenly Maran wished they hadn't left the golden teddy in the office.

"You don't look so threatening, huh?", they said, their voice shaking with fear. Since they didn't know what to do with the robot, they left him standing there and walked back to the office.

As they sat down again, they saw a shadow leave the room. As they looked around, they saw that their backpack was open and looked as if someone had been going through it. They stood back up and ran to the door they saw the shadow leave through.

"Very mature!", they yelled down the hall."I hope you didn't take anything!"

They sighed and went back to looking at the cameras. They didn't actually care if the person had taken anything from their backpack, there was just schoolbooks and the clothes they didn't want anyways.

A few hours went by, none of the robots had moved anymore. Maran tried out the door mechanics and took a better look at Pirate Cave but didn't dare to open the curtains.

As the kid reached for the plushy, they suddenly noticed it was gone. Then they heard footsteps and an animatronic moving, as if them finding out the bear was missing was a trigger for motion.

They checked the cameras, Chica now was in the hall, right in front of the restrooms. Bonnie was in the Backstage room, which was odd because there were lose parts for the robots.

It was 4 am now, and the kid was now more regularly checking through the different cameras, when they suddenly felt a strong sensation of being watched. They quickly checked to see if all animatronics were far away, then looked around. On the right door, the one they'd yelled through a few hours ago, they could barely make out a humanoid shadow.

Maran wanted to close the door, but then noticed their bear sitting on the ground. They stood up and went to pick it up. As the stood back up, the bear in their left hand, someone grabbed them around the neck and dragged them into the room.

For a short moment they thought that one of the robots had gotten to them, but that thought was produced by shock. The hand around their throat was of flesh and bone.

The kid had trouble breathing because of the tight grip. They couldn't see who attacked them, but they managed to catch a glimpse at the hand holding them.

"Don't move", a low and raspy voice was to hear. And then something seemed to click in Marans brain.

"You're the guy from the store..", they managed to say, it was hard to talk with his hand around their neck. But Maran didn't plan on getting killed on their first night at their first job.

His grip tightened and he put his other hand on their shoulder. They could feel that he was holding something.

"You're doing as I tell you", he demanded. As Maran nodded, the man continued:"You'll stay quiet and sit back down."

Maran nodded again, so the stranger let ho of them. The kid sat down, then picked up the tablet and scanned the cameras again.

"You're in danger kid, you do realise that", the stranger continued, pressing the knife to Marans back," why aren't you concerned?"

Maran replied:"You don't like doing this."

"Don't be so sure of that"

"I can feel it. You looked so sad and tired when I first saw you. I'm sure you won't hurt me."

As they had finished their sentence, a sharp pain exploded on their bare arm. He had cut them with a fast and deep strike.

Maran bit together their teeth and held onto their left arm.

"What did I say kid", the man growled.

Maran turned around to face him. Oddly enough, he was wearing the clothes they painted him in, but the kid had bigger concerns.

"Please leave, I could get fired over this", they calmly said, without bothering to hide the pain in their voice.

The purple guy stared at them for a moment, then leaped closer. Maran strode back, pushing themselves deeper into the chair. The man gave off an amused chuckle.

"It's not your job you should worry about", he said quietly, looming over the kid like a big shadow.

He wanted to say something more, but then metallic footsteps were to hear. Maran quickly turned back around and checked the time whilst picking up the tablet.

"It's 4:46, I can do this. Whoever is playing this prank is damn good with electronics", they whispered underneath their breath.

As the kid checked through all the cameras, looking for the animatronics, the man behind them stood quiet. He didn't move the slightest bit. Until Maran closed the right door. As the kid lit the light outside, Chica seemed to scare at the two of them furiously.

"It's not a prank", the man said, almost shocked.

"What's that supposed to mean?", Maran asked, a bit annoyed. Chica wouldn't move, Freddy was coming down towards the other hall and the batteries were going low.

"I killed them"

Maran scoffed and finally went to open the right door again.

"What's your name anyways", they asked disinterested.

"Why should I tell you? You'd rat me out", the man replied angrily.

Maran sighed and responded:"I don't believe that bullshit, it's a good prank but ya'll can stop now."

As they got no response, the kid turned around again, but the man was gone. Where he just stood there was a second plushy: a yellow rabbit.
