"You should get some sleep honey", Cecile said, without looking at her child.
Maran scoffed and replied:"Yes, just leave me alone." The kid knew they were being harsh, but they didn't care.
Cecile picked up their phone from the bedside table and in its place put a rather small, golden teddy bear. It had a cute purple hat and a bow around its neck.
"I bought him at your workplace", Cecile explained,"his name is Golden Freddy and he'll protect you."
The kid rolled their eyes and turned away. Their mother sighed heavily and went back towards the door of the room.
"Good Night my Baby girl", she said, and shut the door as she left.
Maran had a hard time falling asleep, they had to process everything first. At one point they took the Bear of the table, it's been years since they head a plushy. Then they fell asleep, holding onto 'Goldie' tightly.
They had an odd dream with their family and the Pizzeria. But when they woke up, they could barely remember anything at all.
On Sunday, they woke up early, but didn't dare to stand up. Pressing Goldie tightly to their chest, they stood still for almost two hours. Then Castim came into the room.
"Get up, put on acceptable clothing. Then you put away the things in the bag", he explained and watched the kid for a moment before leaving.
Maran did as told, they knew that they couldn't fight him alone. They didn't let go of their new bear the whole day and brought the toy with them whenever they left the room.
The bag Castim had brought contained dresses and very girly clothing and quite a lot of make-up. Maran put the things away, there was more than enough space in their room after their parents cleaned it out almost completely on Saturday evening.
Sunday went by slowly, Maran went to bed at 4 pm. At exactly 11 pm they stood up again, going to the bathroom. They took a shower and brushed their teeth, then they went back to their room. The kid took their packed backpack they used for school, then put in the uniform of the pizzeria. The golden patch that said 'Security Guard' caught their eye. It was located on the left part of the chest.
They remembered the patch they painted onto the purple guys outfit but shook it off as a coincidence. Putting on a Jacket and grabbing Goldie, they left the flat.
Maran wasn't feeling to well outside, all the clothing they could find was very slim fitted and revealing. They also couldn't find any of their binders anymore, not in their room, not in the laundry.
Goldie was somewhat of a comfort, Maran felt like a little child again. They found it somewhat ridiculous, they had gained so much confidence over the past two years that Castim hadn't been here. And now they felt like a twelve year old again.
A bit of relief struck them, when they remembered that the uniform was unisex. When they were close to the pizza place, they reached for their phone, only to remember that Cecile had took it.
They sighed heavily and whispered to themself:"I hope Emem isn't worried by now."
Emem was their best friend and had been for years. The girl helped Maran through everything, ever since both of them were ten. And Maran helped her too, but Emem's life was a lot easier than theirs. Her family was supportive of almost everything she did.
Maran walked over the nearly empty parking lots, there were only two cars: a blue one near the entrance, where Mike was already waiting for them, and an old looking, very dark colored car, almost not visible. It was parked under a broken streetlight, so the kid couldn't make out the color.
"Hello Maran", Mike greeted them, he seemed as happy as the last time they saw him.
"Good Evening", Maran replied quietly. They still didn't dare to speak up, to make any sort of unwelcomed sound. They still felt too close to the flat.
Mike opened the door for them and handed them a key. "I'll show you your office, it's important to not leave there.", he explained as he stepped inside after the kid.
"Why is that?", they asked curiously. Their eyes got caught by the animatronics, they looked a lot creepier than at daytime.
Mike gave of a slight chuckle as he followed Marans gaze. Then he said:"So you don't get hurt. Of course you can go to the restroom of you feel save enough. "
Maran looked at him curiously but didn't say another word. Mike led them through the dark hall to a rather small office, cornered by two hallways.
"I'll lock the door when I leave, the key I gave you earlier is so you can leave after your shift. Our old security guard left you a message with instructions.", he explained, watching the kid closely.
Maran nodded and replied:"Thank you, good night."
Whilst leaving the man replied:"Good Night. And don't forget to change!"
Maran felt a wave of relieve rolling over them, as they turned on the screens and phone. Then they quickly changed into the light blue shirt with the patch and the dark blue cotton pants.
As they sat down, the clock struck midnight and the phone rang.
