That lesson was boring, very boring. Me and Isabella matched to the locker room and we met Michael.
"Hi girls," he said
"Yeah honey," Isabella said.
"What's ur next class Eliza?" He asked..
"Am free, so am going to be at the library," I answered
"No let me show you where to go, am also free," Isabella said.
"Ok, thanks," I said.
Isabella and Michael were so friendly to me. I thought I would always have friends like them if it wasn't the new Comer's manner.
"I know you will be feeling comfortable here," Isabella said leading me to sit on the stairs in the building I thought was the gym."Yeah, I think so," I said, "why did you bring me here?"
"I want us to have a private conversation and where my boyfriend know you... because I just found you together," she paused.
"We met right where you found us," I said but she seemed not convinced.
"And why did you come in the middle of the semester?" She asked.
"Not too late....but am from Texas," I said.
"You said Texas?" She asked looking at me.
"Yes, why are u surprised?" I asked.
"We moved from Texas when I was 13," she said, "who is your father? Mr. Garry?" She asked."Do you know him?" I asked
"You mean you're the one who refused to come over for dinner last night?" she asked, "Eliza after these fucking years? You refus....."
"Stop your dramas, I just don't felt it was a good...."
" No Beth we were friends... didn't you miss me?" She asked.
" I missed you honestly," I said as she gave me a hug.
"I always thought about you Beth, I always wondered how..." I interrupted before she could continue
"I always wanted to have friends like you at my high school but wasn't luck," I said as a tear escaped my eye."I remember going to school with you and your twin, but she left us," she said looking at me, "and am sorry I also left," she added.
"No big deal," I said.
"So if you don't mind, why do you wear that?" She asked pointing to the hoodie.
"I don't want anyone to see my face again, " I said looking at her as more tears escaped my eyes."Don't cry, you will be telling me later," she said not looking at me, "I know everything wasn't good after me and your twin left you alone,"
We sat there for more minutes as the bell rang and we got up.
"So would you care to remove that hoodie? No one knows you here," she said
"I thought so but I found it hard for me to do," I said
"But I think it would be good if you just left the hoodies I know you are not ugly at all," she said.
"I will try but not soon," I said as we headed to the locker room through the corridorI could see students looking at me but I ignored them
"This is the new hoodie?" I heard one ask.
"Maybe she's ugly and she doesn't want us to see her face," another said.
"No maybe she's....."
"Stop your nonsense," Bella yelled at them."Is she your...." Bella put her hand to the girl's mouth before she could finish the sentence.
"Hoodied people are always the same," the boy beside the girl said.
I then ran from sight and went to my locker I then started crying.
'I thought it would be different here, I thought college students are grown ups not like high school,' I told myself trying to cool down. 'But my first day is being the worst ever,' I thought sobbing.
