Chapter ten

Kyne's POV

The doctor wanted me and my friends to go home, but I requested to first check on my brother, so he let me see him. But I was the only one allowed in.

"Okay, come in and check on him, but you have to enter alone," he said as we entered (me and the doctor).

"When did he start taking drugs?" the doctor asked me.

"It's almost five years," I said.

"What do you think have caused this?" he asked again.

"He started drugs after our Mother's death and our dad is always busy in his companies," I said.

"Am sorry," the doctor said smiling, "if u need something for help you can inform me, I saw you are my daughter's new friend," he put on his big smile as I also smiled.

"Thanks," I said.

"So, you have to go home, tomorrow it's school.....uh," the doctor said as we got out of the room. I then saw Lisa coming to my side taking my hand.

"No need and thanks," I said because Rachel was just there , but of course not because I cared but simply because I didn't want lectures the following day.

When we reached in the parking lot I said good bye to my friends.

"Won't you need a ride home?" Rachel asked concerned.

"No , I am going alone," I said getting into my car.
When I reached home, I went straight to my room, looked through my window to Beth's house, it was dark so I thought she'd be asleep already.

"I don't know why am thinking about you girl," I asked myself removing my clothes and left in boxers only. I lay on my bed and started thinking about how my day went. I then thought of what happened at school, how the girl is so talented, how she would be looking like without a hoodie, the smile of hers kills.

"Kyne stop thinking stupid," I tried to push the thought of Beth and tried to get some sleep.

In the morning, I woke up feeling so tired, I stretched my arms and reached for my phone.
Shit, it was already 7 past minutes I then texted Beth.

Me: morning.

Beth: morning.

Me: already at school?

Beth: no but about to reach there

Me: k, am not coming today

Beth: no prob

Me: have a nice day

Beth: u too, I will check on u in the evening, if possible

Me: no prob, let me also head to the hospital

Beth: dad might be worried of u

Me: no prob, I'll go bcz now he might be home to rest.

Beth: I have reached school, let's talk later..... today I have no evening lectures

Me: nice day

I wrote the last text and put my phone back my dresser. I stood up and headed to the bathroom, brushed my teeth and had a shower. I went back to my room and took my phone as I saw the notifications in the screen.
Three missed calls and two text me!

They were the girls, I mean Rachel and Lisa. I unlocked my screen and went through the messages.

Lisa: are u coming to school?
