'Please don't leave me here.' I screamed. 'I'm so sorry Ivy, it is the best thing for you.' Jude replied. I was crying hystericly as the nurse locked my door. Everything went numb and silent. All I could see was my friend walking away through the small window in my door.

2001
I was six. I had Sandy blonde hair and big blue eyes. The freckles on my neck were in the same position as my star sign constellation, my Dad said it made me 'special'. My mum said i had a head full of curiosity. I lived with my mum and dad, mum was a short lady with light brown curly hair, it had dark streaks all the way through. It was down to her shoulders. She also had big blue eyes, just like me, or should I say I had them just like her. She was a primary school teacher. My Dad was tall with longish blonde hair and a prickly, mousey, brown beard with hints of ginger. He had brown eyes, unlike my mum and I . He was a fireman. Just like his dad and his grandad. My parents met when they were 14, were married by 24 and had me a few years later.

My Dad had just been promoted in his job. My parents and I moved down south, Dad got a choice of three locations. Dad picked down south as it was near the country side. He loved the countryside and bonus it was a short drive to the beach for mum. We found this lovely little street with five beautiful big farm like houses. Three on one side and two on the other. It was White stone on the outside, with wooden beams throughout. Massive open archways and huge sky lights. They were the most beautiful houses I had ever seen.

When we arrived I couldn't believe my eyes. It was amazing. 'do you like it?' My mum asked cautiously. 'I love it!' I replied. My Dad took my hand 'go on then you can pick your Bedroom'. I ran ahead pulling my dad along. I settled on the bedroom at the front, it had a big bay window with a window seat.

Our house was the middle one out of 3 houses. On the other side There was a lovely old couple, Who brought mince pies round every year. Next to them was also this old man whose wife had recently passed. Either side of our house were two families. With young kids. There were two boys my age. A little boy named Isaac and a little boy named Jude. I liked them very much. Isaac had curly brown hair. A freckly face and the most amazing smile I had ever seen. Jude had blonde hair and beautiful big blue eyes,  and a little scar on the left side of his forehead.

We became friends instantly. The first time we met was not long after we moved in officially. I was out the front messing around with my skatebored. When Jude and Isaac walked up towards my porch where I was sat fixing my wheels more securely onto my trucks. 'hello' Isaac said. Jude waved. I looked up and smiled. 'hi' I replied. 'I really like your skatebored, you can play with us if you like?' Jude said. 'i would like that' I replied putting my skatebored down. That day we became best friends. We went to the same school too. Every weekend we would have sleep overs and take it in turn to stay at each others house. Our parents would alternate who took and picked us up from school. We were inseparable. Most people thought me and Jude were twins because we looked so much alike. You rarely saw one without the others.

We were eight, it was world book day and we decided to go as Harry, Ron and Hermione. We were so excited. Even though it was a school night our parents let us have a sleep over, the night before. Harry Potter was one of our favourite things. We watched all the films over and over and over. I had the whole collection of books and my dad would read them to me at bedtime. It was my turn for the sleep over. Although I was young I had a double bed. which came in handy as we could all fit in it comfortably. My mum was very artistic and loved plants. So other than my bed I mainly had indoor plants in my bedroom. Loads of cacti. Isaac and Jude thought this was cool. I also had one wall covered in album fronts, band posters and concert tickets from the gigs my dad would take me too. He was a massive music lover and wanted to imprint that on me at a young age. I didn't mind as I loved music too. The most memorable concert was definitely Bob Dylan. He is an acquired taste but that is the music I grew up listening to and other than Fleetwood Mac I don't think my dad had any other good viynls.

We woke up super early and were super excited for world book day. We even won the best group costume. Luckily it was a Friday so we were aloud another sleep over. This time at Jude's house. I had learnt to play the guitar and Jude was learning the drums, we always wanted to start a band.

My Dad used to have an alcohol problem, But since we moved he's been doing a lot better. I can remember always feeling angry at him. Deep down I always knew he wasn't a bad person it was just the drink. Jude and Issac's parents both worked for the NHS and one Christmas they were very understaffed and they had to work so Jude and Isaac came to mine. On christmas eve after finishing our tradition of watching the Polar Express, my Dad took us out into the garden and told us to pick a star. He said 'that star will be yours forever, even when everything is gone or you're having the worst day ever, you can look at your star and know it won't always be hard.'
