A couple days later Jude came to visit. He had let his hair grow a little longer and he was defiantly rocking it. It was the start of summer and it was very warm so we went to our local pub and had some early afternoon drinks. "How excited are you to go on tour?" I said. "Oh yes. We are so excited. You guys will come watch us right?" Jude replied. "Wouldn't miss it for anything" I responded. "Is it strange knowing there are thousands and thousands of people who want to listen to your music and see you guys on stage?" Isaac asked. "Yeah it's crazy, but fun" Jude replied. "Well, we will definitely see you at your California gig" I said grinning. "Oh my god, so you're going then? to America?" Jude asked excitedly. "Yeah. I've talked with work I can transfer to an office over there for the two years. You'll be busy touring anyway so it's not like we'll be leaving you." I replied. "Guys this is amazing, we are all doing what we want. Who would have thought it be like this!" Jude responded. "And we are in it together" Isaac said. "I wanted to be in a band so much when we were young. It is strange how much my mind changed. Don't forget if you ever need a guitarist. I am there" I said. "Hell yeah. You're definitely doing one song with us at least." Jude replied. "That would be brilliant" Isaac added. We sat and chatted for hours more. About 5 hours in and about 8 pints later (each). We thought it was the best idea to go clubbing. It was not. We hadn't been clubbing for 3 or 4 years. But our spirits were high.
We hit the dance floor straight away. A short while later Isaac was at the bar. I am not one for jealousy or girls being petty. However this one girl was a bit too close. I could tell Isaac was uncomfortable but his socially Awkward ass didn't know what to do. Me and Jude watched for a few minutes finding it a tad amusing. Then we intervened. I touched his arm, "got our drinks?" I asked. He smiled with relief. "Here" he said handing me and Jude our drinks. The girl scoffed. I looked at her, confused. "Everything ok?" I asked. "You could clearly see I was talking with him, getting along nicely and you intruded." She replied bitterly. People who knew me, know after a certain amount of drinks my temper is wild. "Oh don't be ridiculous. That is so childish" I spat back. She pursed her lips "childish or not, I think you were being a twat" the girl replied getting closer to me. I stepped closer. "You f" I started but Isaac pulled me back. "Ivy don't, let it go" Isaac said. We started to walk away. The girl just would not give in. "I don't get why he is defending you like that. I've just realised who you are. The daughter of that ex fireman. The town's alcoholic" she sniggered. " You definitely aren't worth it. When you see your dad, tell him i said hi". That was it, I saw red. Next thing I know, I had punched her in the face. She tried to fight back but I was a lot stronger than her. Jude had to pull me off while Isaac stood inbetween. He carried me away and outside. I was still raging. He had to hold me back still. I could see Jude was stifling a laugh, he had a hold of my hand, making sure I wouldn't go back. Eventually I calmed down. Isaac joined us. "I spoke to the bouncer. You're banned" he broke out into hysterics. We all started to cry laughing. "Lets get a KFC" Jude said. "Yes please, I can't believe it's only 4 am" I replied.
We sat at a our usual table 23, very drunk scoffing out faces. "I am at the big old age of 22 and I just had a fist fight in a club " I said laughing in disbelief. "That my friends is why we haven't been clubbing in nearly 4 years" Jude added. " this is also why Ivy, should stick to 2 pints" Isaac said. We all laughed.
