We all felt bad for lying so after a week, we told Eleanor me and Jude felt like it wasn't right and we were better off as friends. I know it is still a lie, but at least it puts an end to a bigger one if that makes sense. Here is how it went anyway. Isaac was having a small gathering while his parents were away for the weekend. Only 8 or 10 people. This was the first time seeing Eleanor after we told her Jude and I were dating. Long story short I was shitting it, well not as much as Isaac. A couple of hours before me and Jude were at Isaacs hanging out. A Jamie t record was on in the background. My phone pinged it was a text from Eleanor.  'I've actually done such a stupid thing.' Isaac laughed nervously. Me and Jude looked at him, 'you think?' We said sarcastically in unison. 'alright I get it! But it won't be for long it's over tonight' Isaac replied. 'well I must say you made a very lovely boyfriend Jude. We should do it again some time.' I said teasing him. Jude gaged. 'NO thank you'. I laughed and shoved him playfully, 'fock off'. 'anyway read the text!' Jude said. I picked up my phone
'hey Ivy, it's Eleanor. About Isaacs party tonight, I was thinking we could get ready together? As I'm a little nervous to meet everyone.'' I read aloud. 'I feel awful, I've really changed how I feel about her, she's quite sweet. Shall I tell her to come here?' I asked Isaac. 'yeah sounds good' he replied. "Hey Eleanor, that would be cool, I'm at Isaacs house with Jude now if you want to come in an hour or so?" I replied. Eleanor was a lot more girly than me, she had her nails done all the time and her hair was always styled fancy. I let my hair hang how it was when I woke up and Wear lip balm.

An hour later Eleanor arrived. 'hey guys.' She said. Isaac walked up and gave her kiss. 'Hello' I replied. 'alright ' Jude said. 'good thanks, but Ivy we should get started if we are going to be ready in time.' Eleanor said. 'we've got nearly two hours?' I replied. 'Woah, you better get started then, if your going to make Ivy look decent.' Jude said. 'you cheeky little bastard!' I replied. He stuck his tongue out at me. 'that's it' I charged at him and rugby tackled him onto the sofa. I got him in a head lock, but he managed to worm Out and he shoved my face into his armpit. 'ok, ok! Quits.' I said. Jude let go. 'quits' he agreed. Eleanors face droped. 'don't fight you're supposed to be in love.' She said. in my head I rolled my eyes, love. Yeah, as if that's a thing. We laughed 'it was only a play fight. He will survive.' I replied giving him a quick kiss (😨). 'good. Now lets go.' She said taking me by the hand and leading me upstairs. I shot the boys a pleading look, almost a cry for help, they smiled smugly and waved their hands at me. We got upstairs I laid on Isaacs bed. Eleanor looked around cautiously, taking it in. You can definitely tell a lot about person from the bedroom.  'there's not a lot for me to do, I just need to change my shirt.' I said. Eleanor grew a mischievous smile. 'i was thinking I could do your make up? And I even brought this top for you' Eleanor sat next to me. the top was light green with small white dots and a square neck line. I won't lie it was quite nice. 'no, not a chance!' I replied. 'please it will be fun. I won't go over board. I swear just natural and the top will look great with jeans so you won't be too dressed up!' She pleaded. I poundered it for a moment. 'fine.' I said. 'yes!!' Eleanor squealed. She emptied her make-up bag. 'what is all of this?' I asked picking up each item and examining it. She explained it all but it went through one ear and out the other.

She pulled out a condom. 'This is for you and Jude if you want it. I don't need it, Isaac said he isn't ready, I just feel like he isn't telling me something. I get the feeling he is scared. I also feel awkward that he is not like that around you.' Eleanor said. I paused, Thinking what to say. 'as you know we've been friends for 10 years. In the 10 years I have learnt that he is very sensitive, he is also very shy and extremely afraid of getting hurt. we've spent so much time together, no one knows me, Isaac and Jude more than we know each other. I'm going to tell you something, we never talk about  because it is too hard.' I replied. 'you don't have to tell me' Eleanor said softly. 'it's ok you should hear this. About 8 years ago we were in a car accident my mum died and so did Isaacs little brother Joe.' I started. Eleanor gasped 'I am so sorry. That's horrific! I never knew he had a brother ' Eleanor said softly. 'thank you for saying that. We just don't talk about it.' I replied 'carry on' She said. 'he was absolutely heart broken When he lost his brother, he is now so afraid of being hurt. So When things become too serious he shuts off.' I said. Eleanor sat quiet for a moment, she had a thoughtful expression. 'I can't even imagine what that must feel like.' She whsipered. 'it is the worst feeling in the world, but I would rather take away Isaacs pain and let me feel it all. That last thing I ever want is my best friends hurting like that.' I replied. 'I want to apologise, I seriously misjudged you. You really are a great person.' Eleanor said. I smiled. 'that means a lot. Very appreciated ' I replied. 'is that why you two are so close?' Eleanor asked. I sighed contemplating weather to say this next part of not, I hate talking about my feelings.proceeded 'my dad was a recovering alcoholic. He was also a fireman. He was first responder to the accident and When he saw my mum, he completely lost it. He started on the drink again. Got signed off from work for 6 months. He was the worsted he'd ever been. That's when I would start to stay at Issacs for a couple of days, which became weeks, which became months. Issacs mum was really there for me. She was a mother figure. She helped me with my first period. My first kiss, my school work, every thing. I have a lot to be thankful for to his mum.' I replied. 'I can't believe you've had to deal with all that. Yet you seem so happy and content. You are always cracking jokes and having a good time?' Eleanor said. 'it hurts. Everyday. But I have come to the conclusion stuff happens, it is out of my control, I can wollow in it or move on. Some say I bottle it up. But there is no need to talk about it.' I replied. 'I admire that' Eleanor said. 'anway, don't think  I will be needing that comdom, as much as I love Jude. I think we are better off as friends. It just really didn't feel right.' I said changing the subject. 'ah swift subject move. Nice. That's a shame but if it isn't right, it isn't right.' Eleanor replied. I smiled in return. 'finally, we are done! Have a look' Eleanor said. I got up and looked on the mirror. 'oh thanks! You have done a great job. I like that natural make-up look! Plus this top is very cute.' I replied.
