A few weeks later it was finally the morning of mine and Isaac's wedding. I was uncontrollably excited. He spent the night with Jude. I stayed at his parents house, the one I spent half my life in. I was with his mum. His parents house had a beautiful garden. It was huge, full of beautiful plants and trees. It had strings of fairly lights all around. It was a clear night and a full moon. We planned to have the wedding in the evening because it was nicer then. It was still going to be warm luckily. I hated not seeing him. I wish I could, but everyone told us it was "bad luck". I kept rolling my eyes. I thought all that was bollocks. I woke up around 11am. Clare made me breakfast. It was very relaxing. 'how are you feeling?' She asked. 'I'm so excited. Well a little nervous too.' I replied. 'bless you, that's to be expected. What do you plan to do today?' Clare replied. 'I'll probably watch Harry potter. Then around 4 I'll help you guys set up, there isn't many people coming so it won't take to long then I'll get ready.' I said. We didn't want a massive shindig with loads of people we just wanted the people we were closet to. There was about 20 people there. It was Jude, his parents and the rest were Isaacs family. I contributed two work friends. She squeezed my hand 'i am so excited' Clare squeaked 'You've always been like a daughter to me anyway.' Clare said kindly. I smiled back.
It was half 3 and Jude popped round to see me. He pulled me into a massive hug. "I cannot wait." He said excitedly 'me neither' I replied. "I thought I'd come over and help you guys set up" Jude said. "That is so helpful, thanks" I responded. We were all done a short while later. "Right, I'm going to help Isaac get ready and all his final preparations. Then I'll be back at 7" Jude said getting up. "I can't thank you enough for walking me down the isle." I said squeezing him tightly. He kissed my cheek. "It is my absolute pleasure" Jude responded.
It was 10 to 7, I was ready at last. I had this off white jumpsuit on with embroidery pastel flowers all over. I also had a pair of trainers on, a pair I'd worn my whole life. Obviously they were a clean new pair. They were silver and a tad sparkiky. They were my signature shoe, and I wouldn't be seen dead in heels. My hair was braided into a messy bun. I had a bit of mascara on and some tinted lip balm. I exhaled shakily. The day was so full of joy, but I couldn't help wish my parents were there. I heard a knock. It was Jude. He walked in. "Oh my" he started with tears in his eyes. "Dont, I'll start!" I said. "I'm sorry, you look amazing. Your mum and dad would be so proud." Jude replied grinning. I smiled gratefully. "I actually have something for you, Clare told me to bring it, it was your mothers. She was saving it to give it to you on your wedding day." Jude said. I looked up tears in my eyes. He held up this beautiful necklace with a silver moon on, I remember my mum wearing it. "That is beautiful, I remember her always wearing it. Please put it on for me." I replied, choked a little. "Not sure it will suit me but ok" Jude replied. I giggled "ididot, on me" I replied. "I know, I know. I was kidding" he replied smiling . I looked at the clock "it's 10 past. Shall we go?" I said. "Yes" Jude replied taking my hand. We walked down stairs into the garden. The song we picked to start of with was 'just like heaven,'- The Cure. It was perfect. I can't explain the feeling in my body when I saw Isaac stood there. He turned around. His mouth agape. His eyes wide. I watched him wipe his eye. I giggled at him slightly and he giggled back.
I reached him at last. He had a black suit on with a bow tie. He looked extremely handsome. His hair as usual was curly and fluffy. I felt less nervous after I saw his face. I smiled at him with an indescribable about of love. I could see he looked the same. Jude gave our hands a reassuring squeeze them stood beside Issac. Isaac took hold of my hand. "You are too beautiful" he said in a whisper. I blushed. Isaacs dad was reading out vows. He had been ordained and we didn't want a priest. He asked if we were ready and then began. "Welcome, everyone. I am honoured to be up here, and to whiteness this wonderful pair get married. I can't think of any two people better suited. I've had the pleasure of watching their love grow for years and years. Now I have to ask, does anyone object?" Alex said. Silence. "ok we can begin, you wrote you own vows am I correct? " Alex asked. We both nodded. "Ok Isaac if you would like to go first." Alex said.
Isaac nodded nervously. I squeezed his hand. He began "The day I met you, you changed my life. You have had such an important impact on me. You have inspired me to do my best at whatever I do, and you inspire me to be a better person. You are the most beautiful person, inside and out. You are so kind and intelligent. I promise to love you, support you, help you and care for you. For as long as we are together which I hope will be a very long time. I've never met anyone who can make me laugh like you do. I love you Ivy. More than words can describe. I will say one last thing, the last custard cream is mine." Isaac finished. He had a few tears, so did i. Happy tears.
I took his hand again. "Isaac Alex Wilson, I love you. however it could've been Jude up here, it was just a coin toss really" i said joking. Isaac chuckled "you dick" he muttered still smiling. "I'm joking, Isaac my whole world has changed because of you. You taught me how to love. How to forgive, and how to be brave. you taught my eyes to see. You were there when life was at its hardest. You pulled me from some dark places. I will never be able to express my gratitude to you. Any amount of time with you, I will always consider my self lucky. I promise to be there for you and care for you. Support you in everything you do. I am so thankful you were born. I love you" i said.
Alex cleared his throat. "The rings, please Jude." Jude nodded and held them up. "Do you, Ivy Smith take, Isaac Alex Wilson to be your lawfully wedded husband". Alex said. "yass queen" I replied, putting the ring on Isaacs finger. He chuckled quietly, "Do you Isaac Alex wilson, take Ivy Smith to be your lawfully wedded wife" Alex said. "Hell to the yes" Isaac said, putting my ring on my finger. "I now pronounce you husband and wife" Alex said glee spread across his face. Isaac picked me up and gave me the sweetest kiss. Everybody cheered. It was perfect.
Everybody, laughed, drank and danced the rest of the night. It was wonderful.
