Voices...she can hear voices from a distance. They were arguing about something. She wonder who are they and why are they fighting. She's not feeling well and she could do with a bit of rest. At nakakaperwisyo ang mga ito sa pagpapahinga niya.
Nadine's eyes fluttered open. She saw a white ceiling. The scene felt terribly familiar. It was like a déjà vu of what happened around a month ago, when she was with Zaldy and they discovered that she's pregnant.
She gasped and sat straight, frantically looking around as she put a shaking hand over her abdomen. Kailangan niyang malaman. There was an abnormal amount of blood on her underwear. Hindi niya na namalayan masyado ang paligid nang dalhin siya ni Julian sa hospital sa sobrang pagpapanic. She certainly passed out at some point.
She needs to know if—she refused to let the idea fully form in her head. Pero...napatingin sa sya pinto. It was Julian arguing with a female.
"Ma, please, I promise that I will tell you everything later, okay? Just please...let her rest for now. Dad, help me, please. Ma, Nadine may look tough on the outside but she's really on a sensitive state right now"
"Julian, you've been mysteriously disappearing from your condo for the past few weeks and I did nothing. But now you ran out in the middle of your father's birthday and the next thing we discovered is that you're actually living with a woman who's now pregnant with our first grandchild!" Nadine winced when she heard the angry voice of Ma'am Michelle.
Pero wala syang oras indahin ito ngayon. Mas mahalagang malaman niya ang kalagayan ng baby niya. Her eyes travelled to the button above her head. She immediately pressed it to summon any health personnel she can talk to.
Maya-maya ay narinig niyang naputol ang pagtatalo sa labas ng kwarto.
"She's awake?"she heard Julian ask someone.
"Michelle, let's go. It's late, too. We need to rest. Let's just wait for them in the house tomorrow"a calm, older voice of a man said. It was obviously Sir Julius.
"Yes, Mom. You're losing it. You need to calm down"an unfamiliar voice chimed in. It must be Mikaela.
Silence reigned for a while before Maám Michelle spoke again.
"This doesn't end here! I want you two in our house tomorrow morning"she warned.
