The Weight Of The World

The World sits on my shoulders,
She underestimates her weight.
But I carry her politely,
Even when my back begins to break.

She giggles and grins joyfully,
But I shed tears for my pain.
She can see blue skies,
But I can only feel the rain.

My ankles snap from under me,
I can't support her anymore.
A broken human
Covered by The World as I lay on the floor.

I push myself from the ground
Trying to be strong.
The World is hysterically happy
As she climbs back on.
