a/n: this one's quite sad, sorry about that aha

"No! Y/n, you don't get to leave me!" The doctor shouts, tears spilling down her cheeks as she holds me in her arms. Pain sears down my spine as I resist the urge to sleep.

"She got in the way doctor." The master smirks, still pointing his device at us.

"Shut up! You don't get to say anything to me right now!" She screams at him. She turns her attention back to me, holding my hand tight. "Y/n stay with me, please. I can't do it without you." She whispers, leaning her forehead against mine and sobbing.

"Doctor?" I manage to croak out. "I love you." The doctor pulls away, her eyes wide. "I've wanted to say that since I first met you. You don't have to say it back because I know you don't like to-"

She silences me with her lips pressed to mine lovingly. Everything we've done together flicks through my mind.

---

"I'm the doctor. You're probably confused. We should definitely run." The strange woman takes my hand and pulls me along with her. "I'm y/n by the way." I shout, both of us running down the road away from a strange machine screaming 'exterminate' after us. "It's nice to meet you y/n!"

---

"It's... it's bigger on the inside?" I gasp in shock, my mouth wide open as I try to comprehend the huge interior of the tiny police box. "I know, brilliant isn't she?" The doctor leans against the centre and smiles at me, looking stunning. "Fancy a trip?" She asks me.

---

"Run!" the doctor shouts, grabbing my arm and pulling me away from the huge metal man approaching us. We sprint around the corner, trying to get as far as we can before we stop on a corner to catch our breath. "Is it always like this with you?" I chuckle, making her laugh and nod. "Pretty much!"

---

"You alright?" The doctor stands in the doorway of my bedroom in the TARDIS as I sit on my bed. "We've just got back from my mum's funeral, what do you think?" I growl. Seeing her shift on her feet uncomfortably, I realise it's not her fault. "Sorry." I say quietly. "Need a hug?" She offers, holding her arms out for me. I nod, standing up and looking down at the floor. I step toward her and wrap my arms around her as she does the same to me.

---

"Custard cream?" The doctor offers dispensing one from her TARDIS. "Not right now, thanks." I decline, sitting down on the steps and watching her. "I've been thinking about adding other biscuits to this. Like... Bourbons, or Maryland cookies. Ooh, Oreos!" She rambles for a bit about biscuits, as I just listen to her intently. I love it when she goes on like this, I find it calming to just sit and hear her talk for a while. "What biscuits do you want me to add?" She asks a few minutes later. "I don't mind. Anything that isn't ginger. I don't like ginger biscuits. Oreos sound nice, or jaffa cakes." I tell her as the doctor flicks switches on the control panel. "We can go shopping, get the biscuits. Ooh! Maybe we can go get some snacks and have a sleepover tonight with movies and games! It'll be so fun!" The doctor jumps up and down excitedly, making me smile.

---

"You could've died y/n!" The doctor shouts as we come into the TARDIS, shutting the door behind us. "Yeah, well I didn't, did I?" I roll my eyes and look at her. "It's not funny! I'm not having you die under my supervision. I have a duty of care, y/n."

---

"I love you too." The doctor whispers as my eyes flutter closed, a tear sliding down my cheek. I can hear the Doctor screaming my name, begging me to stay awake. I feel my pain fade away slowly and I smile a little before everything goes dark.
