There's a moment in your life when everything is in slow motion. For most people is when they are dying. They say that their whole life flashes in a blink of and eye. I've had plenty of those moments especially when I died after giving birth to the triplets. This time there are five babies. Three girls and two boys. Stefan has been glued to me the entire time. He thinks that something was gonna happen to me or the babies if he takes even one step away.
In the couple of months that have passed so many things have happened. Stefan's mom died a while after coming back from the prison world. Stefan was supposed to be a father back when he was human. Stefan and Damon died and their soul went to the stone. The town is full of vampires who follow Julian. And there is Rayna the huntress who's job is to end all vampires.
THIRD POV
WHITMORE COLLEGE MEDICAL CENTER
Adeline is sleeping in bed in one of the hospital rooms while Stefan talks to her doctor out in the hallway.
"She's napping now, but she's okay. Her heart's a little weak, but the babies appear to be totally fine" the doctor tells Stefan who is worried. "Are you sure? She collapsed. That's not normal" Stefan asked with a frown. "Well, it's not abnormal, either. Her blood vessels have dilated, which can lower blood pressure" the doctor says with a shrug.
Stefan looks at the doctor not fully convinced of what she is telling him but nods in agreement anyway. The doctor hesitates before she continues. "You know, it's best to keep the father in the loop in situations like this. Would you like for me to contact her boyfriend?" she asks. Stefan looks at her in confusion, not understanding what she meant at first.
"I'm her boyfriend..." he answers. The doctor looks confused as well, now, and Stefan realizes what she's talking about. "Um, I'm the father of three of those babies. And the father of the other two is in Dalla's for a job interview, but I'll call him" states Stefan trying to explain the situation.
The doctor smiles and walks away, allowing Stefan to go into Adeline's room to check on her. "Hey," she said. "Hey. You scared me there for a minute" he said. He goes to take her hand, but frowns in concern when he sees it's gray, it was starting to desicate. "What is this?" he asks. Adeline looks down at her hand, and her expression becomes horrified when she sees what is happening. "Is my hand desiccating?!" she asks as both Stefan and her look at each other alarmed.
