During her first summer vacation with the Longbottom's, Ophelia had no issue fitting in with them.
After Alice, the closest person followed after her was her great Aunt and the great grandmother of the Potter's, Tabitha Potter.
The older woman was adjustably understanding when it came to hiding pain. Though while they both had losses greatly in difference—Tabitha it was death of her sibling and Ophelia's parents' cruel choice to forget.
The bond was created and Tabitha was closest to a mother figure she's ever had in many years.
It was thanks to that bond, that Ophelia was doing mentally okay. It was the only part of her that had taken the longest to heal, but it definitely better than dragging on.
During the vacation, Ophelia had been able to spend most of her time with the large Potter-Weasley clan with addition to the Scamander's.
It gave her barely any room to think about what had happened and it gave her a boost to slowly not have a hard time sleeping—which was the last thing that she had an issue with.
While most of it was officially closed in a chapter, there was a page that'd always slip between the current ones to remind her. However, no matter how much time went, it was never going to just stop—but it was going to become a blur to the eyes and almost cease to exist.
During the days ending their 6th year—Lorcan had become the Head Boy, much to everyone's joy but no one's surprise, considering how much leadership potential he had.
In celebration of his great achievement, Ophelia had decided to spend a day with him in indulging him in many things he never tried. It was naturally as expected, things that most around their age had already done—however, to argue with it as Lysander would state it as 'Being a Late Bloomer'.
Regrettably shot back to him as they turned around and pointed out that Lorcan officially had the most experience when it came to romance.
The department that Lysander was having issues with his uncommitted dating history over most of their years in Hogwarts. When Alice had learned about it, she couldn't miss the chance to tease him whenever she got.
The platonic relationship that the pair had been left to non-stop competitiveness. Though, the only time that the pair got along was whenever it came to Lorcan and Ophelia.
"They actually did not follow us this time" Lorcan stated as he walked comfortably near Ophelia.
The female chuckled and leaned on his shoulder without any disruption of their walking," Well, I may have had a little help with Lily and Hugo.
"Oh, you had them? How cruel" Lorcan gasped jokingly
"Well they were the best option" She added as she turned and gave a peck on his lips," Let's not talk about them anymore, especially when we officially have each other to ourselves for the first time ever"
"That sounds delightful" Lorcan whispered reconnecting their lips," But also very strange"
"I mean it's Lysander and Alice, what do you expect?"
Lorcan chuckled and she followed after as the couple spent their day in peace with each other.
Fortunate to the distraction of Hugo and Lily, there was no interruption of their loved ones—even if it was sometimes amusing.
