The relationship between Lorcan and Ophelia had been wonderful.

For the remainder of their 6th year, they both eventually followed through and no longer had boundaries within their affections. It was sweet and entirely joyful for the pair with its ups and downs.

However, as happy as their days were—for Ophelia, she had unfortunate news just before the final day of school.

It was tragic and unbelievably cruel.

When she arrived at the Headmistress office—she did not need even a second to process that things were not good for her. She did not need to even take a breath to feel the thick air and the expressions that all of her professors and Headmistress McGonagall had.

As much as Ophelia wanted to wish it was a dream. She knew that sometimes reality has its way of being cruel without care of how painful it was.

As the happy-go-lucky girl, she was and the one behind it that Alice and Lorcan had known was shattered.

The tears and the pain of her heart that felt as if it physically broke was beyond control. Neville had been the one to offer to summon the pair to hopefully comfort the female that was given the news that was even he was left on his own to the uncontrolled stability of anger.

Ophelia's parents went through lengths to threaten that they'd exploit the wizarding world if they did not use Obliviate to make them forget their one and only daughter.

They had enough of the daughter that was a freak to their eyes—they had enough covering up to the family about why they 'sent' their daughter to a boarding school when there were many prestigious schools out there. One that was good for the family name and a taste to brag to their friends.

It was distasteful how easy it was for them to get what they wanted and it was awfully the foulest thing that they got it easy.

While Ophelia had to suffer the pain that they didn't have to deal with.

Alice and Lorcan both had been livid to the point of them having to be nearly restrained from going off and having a word with the disgrace of parents Ophelia had.

However, both had known that Ophelia wouldn't want that, still forcing herself to reason with their choice.

It was truly hard, for Ophelia, having to be the only child—that had been engulfed with their love before her powers came which was actually just a year before she turned 11. So, while it was probably foolish—Lorcan and Alice understood.

Ophelia had soon become a new family member to the Longbottom family and while it was going to be a long wait until she felt truly at home—she was fortunate to have them be there for her, along with the Scamander's, Weasley's and Potter's.
