Ophelia Herr had no explanation and did not need one for the way she went with things.

When people often questioned how she was always almost smiling and being positive—she'd just respond with a shrug and smile.

The truth was she had did not need to think deeply about why she does what, because she didn't even know it herself.

Ophelia was a muggle-born witch, that had parents who wished they didn't have her as a daughter. For them, it was beyond disastrous and whenever they sent her to Hogwarts—they were relived.

While Ophelia was outcasted at home, she still didn't feel sad or negative. As strange as it was, she just went each day not letting it get to her.

Maybe this was the explanation—on why Ophelia was the way she was. Being happy, easygoing, and optimistic.

Just maybe this was her true explanation, though if someone came to this conclusion, she'd deny it. Because even if her life at home was not the greatest, she did not want to reduce her parents' beliefs as unpleasant.

She respected their choice even if she had to deal with the sacrifice of love they once gave her.

"Tell me now" Alice Longbottom asserted grimly," Do you fancy Scamander?"

Ophelia furrowed her brows as she turned to her friend. The female that was practically her other half if she had to admit—or practically her twin from another life.

"Oh Alice, I love only you~" Ophelia sang as she hugged and nuzzled her face on Alice's cheek.

The brunette rolled her eyes as she shoved the coddling female off her. She knew this bit so well, it was Ophelia changing the subject.

"I'll take that as a yes" Alice commented as Ophelia attempted to try and change the subject by bringing a book up to her face.

"Did you perhaps do your potion's essay?"

"Ophelia"

"Oh, I think we have an assignment due for transfiguration"

"Oph—"

"Want to head to the kitchen for some—"

"Merlin woman! Fine don't tell me, I'll just confirm it myself" Alice raised he hands in defeat as she watched Ophelia grin cheekily at her.

"Honestly, you lasted longer than usual" She teased poking her friend on the arm," He's just really fun to   play with, don't think so deeply into it"

"That poor, poor Hufflepuff" Alice sighed placing a palm on her face," Oh, Ophelia how long do you plan to pester him?"

"It's not like I do it just to mock him" Ophelia amended her friend," Even I know not to go too far"

"You say that, but sometimes people don't know when it's too far," Alice remarked and Ophelia did not respond.

Mainly because she knew Alice had a point.
