Akita's POV:

"Of course I'm still angry! Tobirama killed my husband and of course the night before you all went into battle we slept together as a passionate goodbye and look at me now! I'm going to be a single mother! I can't do this alone Madara, I don't know what to do." By the end of her speech she was crying.

I heard shuffling and then her cries were muffled. "It's alright Toshina, I will be here in Izuna's place. I don't mean as your lover but as the child's uncle I will help you. It's what he would want."

I slowly snuck into the back garden. They were yelling when I came in and that's why they didn't hear me but if I closed or opened the front door now they'd know I heard everything. I looked down at the pond that had about 5 large fish in it.

I chuckled thinking about a few days ago when I'd tried to feed them my lunch and Madara had to explain to me that they couldn't eat my food. Seeing his shocked expression when I was about to toss it in was one of the best things I'd seen all week.

"I'm sorry you had to hear that." I heard his deep voice behind me as he walked around the back of the bench and came to sit on the other side.

"No I didn't mean to walk in, it's not really my business anyway. Izuna, he was the youngest right?" I looked over and he nodded. "Well I think it's sweet. She might have lost him but now she has a product of their love that she can watch grow for years to come. It's like a piece of him is still with her. At least that's what I read in a book a long time ago."

Madara chuckled to himself, maybe what I said was stupid or maybe I got the saying wrong. "How can you be smart and so dense at the same time?" He asked lowly almost to himself.

I hit his arm playfully before defending myself. "Hey I'm not that dense, I just get confused!" His light chuckle turned into real laughter. It died down quickly and we sat in silence before I heard a click.

"I forgot my shaw but it seems like I'm definitely missing something. You didn't tell me you had a girlfriend Madara!" A beautiful woman quickly walked over and smacked Madara on the back of the head. She was taller than me by quite a few inches.

She was a few inches shorter than Madara but considering I only came up to his chin I was still the shortest one here. She had deep onyx eyes and dark brown hair that came right below her shoulders.

"It's not like that Toshina. She's just been filling in for Inabe because his wife is expecting." He grumbled while she ignored him and walked over and grabbed my hand.

"I'm Toshina, the grumpy hedgehog's sister-in-law. You're not an Uchiha that's for sure. You must be something else to want to spend your time in boring clan matters." She laughed almost to herself.

"No no it's actually really interesting to me, besides Madara doesn't let me see anything super important since I'm not an Uchiha." I shrugged.

She pulled me off the bench so I was standing. "You're way too pretty to be hanging out with him, Madara do you mind if I steal her for a bit?" It didn't seem like a question because she dragged me off before he could answer.

We walked to the outskirts of the village next to a beautiful river. "It's nice to just get away from everything." She hummed looking up at the stars as we walked.

"I heard you were expecting, that's amazing. Oh, also I'm sorry about Izuna, I didn't know. At least you have this baby to keep your memory of him right?" She stopped and her eyes started watering. I was about to apologize and bow but she threw her arms over me.

"Thank you." She didn't say anything else but we sat like this for a while. I only hugged her back. She was going through something I couldn't even begin to understand.

She pulled away and chose a place to sit down. It was a small dock that went a bit into the water. "What was he like? I mean Izuna." I asked. She smiled and wiped her eyes from her tears earlier.

"He was an idiot in everything except fighting. When we were children I chased him around demanding that we would get married. Back then I just thought he was cute but as we grew up I fell in love with him." She pulled her hair back with a pin and then rested her hands behind her so she could lean back.

"He was hopeless by the time we were about 19. He would stutter and do silly things to grab my attention all while having the biggest blush on his face. Finally we were walking one night and I grabbed his hand and kissed him before I told him I loved him. He blushed and stuttered that he felt the same. I wish I could go back."

She wasn't crying but her eyes were glassy. "Well at least you have these memories of him. I read once that when someone dies they stay with you in your heart. As long as you keep remembering them and loving them, they'll stay with you." She nodded and we sat in silence for a while.

Toshina was bold and loud but honestly she was a sincere woman. Maybe I'd found another friend.
