Kat's p.0.v:
i live in an apartment opposite my college campus with my friends Olivia,Mina and Kelsey. we were all home on the weekend this time so we were relaxing all Friday.
on Saturday morning i woke up in the room i shared with Mina to hear a few scratching noises, i looked at Mina to see if she heard it too. she just nodded and we got up to go to Kelsey and Olivia's room. where we saw something had been scratched into their door. "what happened?" i ask the two girls.
Kelsey spoke up first. "i heard scratching and saw a tall figure in a black coat. when he left i saw the door." she whimpered as if about to cry. "it's ok, come on let's get dressed and see what happens." i told her in my best reassuring voice. she nodded and got changed (we'd left first).
"what was it?" Kelsey asked in a scared tone when she was done getting ready, "Kats brother i assume. he has keys, lives nearby and is tall." Mina mentioned. "okay true." Olivia agreed. "i still think we should stay at his or something. just for tonight." i reasoned, Kelsey nodded aggressively as the other two girls shook their heads.
"please?" i begged in sync with Kelsey, "okay, i'll make a bet." Olive proposed, "which is?" Kelsey asked confused, "you and Kat go to Kats brother for the night and stay out of the apartment all day and Mina and i'll stay. when we wake up tomorrow completely ok you owe us 10€." Mina nodded, Kelsey and i looked nervous but agreed. "i'll call him, Kelsey can you pack for us?"
"yeah. sure." she smiled and walked off.
"hey bro!" he paused, "hey. what do you want?" he already knew i wanted something, "can Kelsey and i stay at yours tonight? it's for a bet." he sighed down the phone, "of course. i'm not that mean." he laughed a bit. "thanks dude!" i hung up excitedly.
so i grabbed my keys along with Kelsey and we left. we arrived at my brothers place and said our "hello" to him and his roommate and left our bags behind, going out for the day. we went to an arcade, amusement park and a few other places, arriving home at 10:30pm.
"i have a spare room, you have to share though, but there's two beds." my brother replied before hugging me as i thanked him and then he went to his room.
"should we call them?" i ask Kelsey, "yeah. i'll call Mina if you call Olivia."
"okay sure ." i flipped through my contacts till i found the one reading, 'via'
"hey, are use ok?" i got straight to the point. "y-yeah. of course. i'll win the bet!" she teased although it sounded like she was holding back tears. "sure?"
"of course. please don't worry we'll be ok." with that she hung up and i went to sleep.
Olivia's p.0.v from 10:30am:
Kat and Kelsey left at around 10 so Mina and i has been alone sense. we were watching a movie in the living room when we heard more scratches, "should we check?" Mina asked concerned, "and miss the movie? of course not." i replied, we were ironically watching a horror movie. she shrugged and resumed watching.
5:30pm:
"hey Via! we ran out of food!" Mina shouted from the kitchen, it was her turn to cook. "okay, go to the shop. i'll make tea and coffee." i suggested, "okay then." she replied simply before leaving to go fulfil my request. as i was making the hot tea something scratched at the kettle, i couldn't see anything so i moved close to it. i still didn't see anything so i put my face right up to it.
thats when the kettle snapped in half and my face and arms were scolded! in a lot of pain i went to the bathroom to take a cold bath. i had been in for about three seconds when something turned the tap up and the bath now scolded me too. i screamed and got out instantly. throwing my clothes on i looked around the house. nothing but Mina came home and helped my burns before making dinner.
10:00pm:
i heard more scratching from my bedroom, Mina and i looked at each other. "maybe it's a bird?" she suggested, "maybe. wanna go see?" she nodded and we went to check. when i opened the door a man in a black coat was right at the other side. he scratched my face with claw like hands. i screeched and Mina ran in. she didn't come out. i refused to even see what happened.
just as i got the confidence to walk in i saw her body all scratched and bloodied. she was dead. then i got a call. i don't want to alarm Kat so i held back my tears and told her everything was fine. as soon as i hung up i heard the door swing closed, i knew it was my turn....
The next day Kelsey's p.0.v:
i woke up beside Kat and gently smacked her. "we need to go check on Mina and Olive." i told her. "okay, let me get changed and make breakfast for my brother and his roommate." i sighed and let her be.
we arrived at our own apartment at around 11:35ish. "hey! where are y'all?" Kat called out. she got no reply, "sleeping?" she asked before going to check. she screamed a few minutes later. we went to a funeral 3 days later.
