Jessica's p.0.v:
i live in a very small town with only around 100 houses in it. almost every other house has kids/ teens in it. i really like it.

i have 3 children, Ginny (older sister) Lexi (younger sister) and Max (Younger brother). we are all similar ages so every Saturday we all go to the woods outside my house. it's directly opposite my best friends house (Mina).

"come on guys!" Ginny called from the front of our house, "okay Ginny hush!" i call angrily, as i grab my bag and shoes. i went downstairs to see her on the porch with Mina. "bye! mom!" Lexi call as we all leave. "be safe kids!" she called sweetly. "we will!" Ginny reassured her.

when we got there i instantly begun following the lake until we were deep in to the point where it was almost dark. i set my bag down and we begun having a picnic. "can i have juice?" Lexi asked i smiled and paced her the juice but snatched it back as i heard a male scream. it was coming from even further in.

"should we help?" Mina questioned, "no, this is as far as we are allowed to go in." i reminded them, "okay Jessica what if he's in trouble?" it was Ginny to speak up this time. "he's not. probably just a prank. hoping someone will hear him." i sigh, continuing to eat my biscuits. "fine." Max sighed.

as we were all finished eating i packed away before seeing something that resembled mist. it looked like fog but in the shape of a human. "guys? do you see that?" Max questioned, "yeah we see. be quite but run." i told the group hesitantly. "okay."

the next night i was sitting watching the news with Lexi, Ginny and mum when a news report caught my eye. "a 15 year old male was found in the forest last night. he was stabbed multiple times and drowned." Ginny and i shared a look, "ok so it wasn't a prank." i mumbled, trying to lighten the mood.

Lexi (next day):
after school Ginny, Jessica and i were about to enter the woods again when dad pulled up. "where are use going? that's a crime scene." he told us, pushing us aside. he's chief detective. "oh, sorry dad." i sighed softly as he put his arms out to hug his three daughters. "just go home. it's not safe girls." we all agreed and went to Mina house instead.

on our way home we saw dads car, it was parked exactly where it was when he parked to talk to us. "do you think...?" Ginny asked sadly, "no, he's probably just not going through the effort of moving his cAr to the other side of the road for no reason." i suggested, refusing to believe that thing got him.

when we got inside dad wasn't there. "mommmm!" i call, "what?!" she sounded stressed, "where is dad?" i inquired a lot softer than before. "showering. he said he fell. he came home covered in blood and scratched." she explained before going back to making dinner. "okay then."

i went upstairs to do my homework with the help of Jessica considering she was 14 and i am 10. when done we got dinner and went straight to sleep.

Ginny:
"dad?" i ask softly at 5:30am. just before he went to work. "yes sweetie?" i got to look at him for the first time since he went into the woods. he looked really bad. "can i go to work with you today?" he hesitated, "sure. get dressed into something nice." i grin and run to my and Jessica's room.

in the woods:
the woods were covered in blood. "dad... i have a confession." he stopped looking at a blood covered tree. " i was at the woods the day of the murder."
"can anyone back that up?"
"yes, Lexi, Jessica, Max and Mina." he looked mad, "why is this important?" i paused, would he believe me? "i saw... something." he begin to look interested, "a man, he looked like mist though, but we all heard a scream an hour before." at that moment the same figure emerged from the lake. "now you see me...." it stabbed dads eyes, " now you don't." he then stabbed him to death. "and you!" then i felt a large cold metal object be ran through my chest and eyes.

News headlines:
Ginny (insert last name) and James (insert last name) were found dead, stabbed through the eyes and heart. they were yesterday at 9:00am.

the rest of the families cries could be heard throughout the small town.
