it was Lia's first time babysitting and she was quite reluctant at first.

(a month before).
"Lia! can you babysit twin girls for my best friend JULIA?" Lia's mother asked innocently. "can't you? i don't like kids." Lia stared blankly, "but you do like 4 year olds." Lia's mom smirked. "how much money do i get?" Lia decided it might not be THAT bad. "100£ per hour. it'll be all night." Lia smirked, "can i bring Avery?" she questioned, "sure. you'll have to split the pay then." she nodded, "it's ok. when do we start?" her mom smirked at her enthusiasm. "you start next month." Lia nodded and text Avery to tell her what she had to do with Lia.

Back to the present:
Lia : dudeeee are you coming ?
lia : i'm already here!
Avery: almost there. i'll be 2 minutes.

Lia seemed happy enough with the response and went to see the parents. "hello, i'm Lia. nice to meet you." she shook hands with the dad and then the mother. "well you have manners. thank you for babysitting. when will Avery get here?" the twins mother Julia asked nervously, "i'm here!" Avery practically burst through the door. "i mean i'm sorry i'm late. i got... caught up." she mumbled. shaking the parents hands. "so where are the girls?" Avery got right down to business. "Kitchen. their waiting for dinner."

it was 5:30 and the two 14 year olds were expected to make the 4 year olds dinner. "ok we'll be right on it."

After the parents left :
"okay i'll make dinner if you entertain them?" Lia offered, "yeah." Avery agreed.
"so what's your names?" Avery asked, "Tilly! that's Millie!" Tilly exclaimed, "she can't talk." Tilly whispered. Avery laughed uncomfortably. "when's dinner Lia?!" Avery called out, becoming worried when she got no reply, "Millie, can you go check on Lia?" the small girl nodded and ran to the kitchen, "is she there?" Avery questioned, Millie shook her head.

Avery' p.0.v:
"so where is she?" i questioned Millie.
she shrugged and Avery ran to the kitchen. there was nothing there. "maybe she went to the bathroom." Tilly suggested to the scared looking 14 year old. "yeah. i'll call her."

i rung her but heard he phone ring from below the floor. "why's she in the basement?" i ask the children, not expecting them to know. "basement?" Tilly asked me confused. "yeah. can you go check?" i told her calmly, "we don't have a basement." that one sentence was enough to make me start to shake.

"so where is she then?" Tilly shrugged. "can you two stay here for just a minute." this time they both nodded, "okay." i looked all around their overly big house but couldn't fin her anywhere. "can i call your parents?" i ask Tilly, "yes. i want to talk to momma!" she smiled brightly. "ok."

"hello? is everything ok?" Julia asked concerned, "no, Lia has went missing. i heard her phone in the basement but Tilly said you don't have a basement?" i begin talking instantly, "no, she's right. we don't have a basement. where exactly did you hear the phone?" Julia asked sounding restless. "underneath me." i stated blankly. "we're coming now. take the girls outside and call the police." Julia instructed, "i don't know your address." i heard a sigh. "go outside. i'll call the police." i hung up and lifted the two girls. taking them outside.

A month later :
no one has heard from Lia since the incident, her phone was never found and neither was she. i am getting hopeless i lost my best friend when i was one room away! it's frustrating! "Avery...." mom called, "what?!" i had been crying in my room before she came in. "you better look at the news."

i ran downstairs to see a specific report :
Lia (inert last name. ) was found in the floor of a house she babysat at last month. no witnesses were present.

it then shows and image of her alive and an image of her bloodied and bruised body. it was sort of decaying by now.
