Hello, my name is Finn Schmidt and I am in the 12th grade. I go to Westbroke High, and have been going here for all four years of my high school career. Before this, I went to Westbroke Jr. High, and before that I went to Westbroke elementary school. Do you see a pattern here? Yeah, my town has this weird obsession of naming everything the same as the town name. Yep, you guessed it, I live in a town called Westbroke.

I've lived here my whole life, and have been friends with the same kids since elementary school. There is Tessa, Colin, Nina, Isaac, and, insert dreamy sigh, Annabeth.

I don't know if you could tell, but I have a big crush on Annabeth. I mean, come on, what's there not to like? She is so kind and caring, and not to mention beautiful. I bet that I know her the best. Another reason why I think we should be together.

Now, I'm not the type of guy to go after a taken girl, so before you ask Annabeth doesn't have a boyfriend. Because if she did she would have told me, but she wouldn't have to tell me because I would be her boyfriend.

Today was Friday, the best day of the week, and the group is supposed to go over to Annabeth's house today. Normally we don't hang out at her house for reasons unknown to me, so I was surprised when she volunteered to have us over yesterday. She said there was a reason to why she was suddenly letting us come over today, and that it would be revealed tonight.

Oh well! I find out what her big secret is tonight. Now I better get to class, don't want to miss a chance at seeing my beautiful Annabeth!

Au revoir!

Later that night

"Mommmmmmm!" I yelled up the stairs.

"What Finn!?" She yelled back, exasperated.

"Geez, I just wanted to tell you that I'm leaving."

"Oh, okay." I waited for her to say anything else, but she didn't.

"No goodbye?"

"Nope."

"Okay then." And with that I left the house. I guess I had perfect timing or something, because as soon as I closed the front door, Colin came around the corner.

"Are you ready to go? Well, obviously you're ready to go or you wouldn't be standing outside waiting for me. Oh just get in the car already!"

"Dude, you need to chill. Like seriously Colin, you're starting to ramble. Why are you so hyped up anyways?"

"Wellllll, TessaandImayormaynothavebeentalkingafterschoolgotoutandIalsomayormaynothavefinallyaskedherout, andshemayormaynothavesaidyes." He said really quickly. I couldn't understand most of what he said, but I did hear him say may a lot and at the very beginning say Tessa.

"Woah there, you need to slow down. Clearly whatever you are trying to tell me is making you super energized. So how about you tell me again, but this time try and speak really slow."

"Okay. So Tessa . . . and . . . I . . . may . . . or . . . m-"

"Not that slow you dumbo. Use your head. Just talk at a normal speed so I can understand you, and keep your eyes on the road. Stop watching me and watch the road."

"Sorry. So Tessa and I may or may not have been talking after school got out, and you know how I have had that major crush on her since 7th grade?" I nodded my head. "So today I may or may not have finally made a move and finally asked her out."
