When Sarah Left

(SARAHS POV)

I sat quietly in the car as Amanda took me home. My stomach was in knots, my hand shaking as slow tears ran down my cheeks.

"Want me to come inside with you?... Sarah?... Sarah!?" Amanda said louder, finally getting my attention. I dont know where my mind was but I didn't even hear her speaking.

"I'm sorry, Amanda, what did you say?" I finally replied

"I asked if you wanted me to walk in with you?" She asked innocently

My eyes welled with more tears, i shook my head yes. "Please" I said quietly.

We walked up the stairs to the 3rd floor and opened to door leading down the hall. I stopped in the doorway remembering how hard I hit (Y/N) here. It had only been a few hours since leaving this place and still it had felt like an eternity. I opened our front door on the right side of the hall and the room was still and silent.

"(Y/N)" I called out. But there was no reply. It appeared she left. I stood and looked around before noticing a piece of paper where there usually was none. I felt my heart drop. Somehow I knew what it was even before reading it. It is surprising how our unconscious knows things we think we don't. And just like that, the whole world stopped existing, all there was, was this moment. The moment i had nightmares about.  I skimmed it quickly, tears clouding my vision.

"Dear Sarah" i read.
"Hi... maybe this will mess up your night, or even your week. I'm sorry. I'm more sorry than Ill ever be able to express. You never deserve a burden like me. Which is why in know you'll be okay without me.

I need you to find the happiness you deserve. I'm sorry for everything. For breaking my promises, for hurting me, for hurting us, but most of all for hurting you. I'm letting go. I need to let you go. Most of all I need you to let me go.
But I'll love you, always and forever.
(Y/n)"

My head was spinning and i felt sick and dizzy. I dropped the page.

(WRITERS POV)

"What is it?... Sarah?" Amanda called out as Sarah ran searching through the rooms for (Y/N.) She picked up the paper and read it.

"oh my god" she said quietly before hearing Sarahs screams come from the back bedroom. She ran in a stopped shocked in the doorway.

Sarah held (Y/N) as tears fell onto the sheets beneath them.
"Call 911" Sarah yelled to Amanda frantically. (Y/N's) breath was becoming shallow, and her eyes fluttered and rolled as she tried to get a clear vision of Sarah in front of her.

"I'm sorry" (Y/N) whispered, as eyes fell closed

"Don't you dare. Don't you dare say that (Y/N), stay with me" Sarah said supporting (Y/N'S) body in her arms.

"Come on (Y/N). Please come back. Don't do this to me. I need you. Please don't leave me." Sarah pleaded.

"Please (Y/N)" Sarah sobbed.
