It was around 11 pm and the party was still going on. I decided to go get some alone time. My kids were playing with some other kids so I didnt worry much about them.

"Are you alright (y/n)?" A familiar voice said. It was the landlady. Her name is Helen.

"Oh yes Ms.Helen im fine"

"I saw the way you looked at some of your friends families. It truly is something beautiful to have. A happy loving family"

"Ms. Helen would you have liked to have a family?"

"I did have a family. Two beautiful sons and a loving husband. We had a car accident 28 years ago. My children were still young. One of them was 2 and the other was 4. My husband and my 4 year old passed away that same day. My baby suffered from a brain injury due to the crash so after a month he also passed away."

"Im so sorry to hear that Ms. Helen, My three ducklings and I will always be here with you"

"Thank you (y/n), Spend time with them and be grateful for them. If this man means that much to you give him another chance and let him know about the lives he created with you. I do think he deserves a chance to meet them. The kids also deserve to meet him."

"Hey there you two are, (y/n) how about if the kids open their presents? Its getting late"

"Oh yea sure" I said and walked inside with Ms. Helen behind me.

Timeskip after the party

"Thank you so much for coming everyone. Its very much appreciated by all of us" I said with a smile

Kosuke, Akio and Ahmya were already asleep. I was cleaning up with the help of some friends. It was now 2:30 am and decided to continue the rest later.

*morning*

I had to go in for work to check up on how business was going. I was pretty tired from last night and I bet everyone else was too. It was 12:30 pm and I was making my way out with the kids. It would be nice and easier to have a car but I never learned how to drive and almost everybody in (c/n) went by foot.

"Good afternoon everyone" I said when I walked in the building.

"Good afternoon (y/n) how are you?" My front desk lady asked as she made her way to the kids. Her name is Lily, only 20 and also pregnant. She had it rough and I know giving her pity wouldnt help in any way, shape or form. She isn't the wealthiest person in (c/n) but she is the kindest and most hardworking. She truly does inspire me.

"Im great, super tired from last night, I finished all my work so I was wondering if theres anything I could help around with?"

"(y/n) you literally provide everyone with enough and take over for us when we can't, you should take the day off"

"Nonsense! how is business today?"

"Well everything is running smoothly no delays or work to be done or finish so I say the usual."

"Lily how about you leave early today and we go hangout? The others could also use a break as well. Please let them know"

And with that we left and made our way to the nearest cafe. We chatted while we waited for our food to arrive.

"(y/n) your 19 right?"

"Yes why?"

"How were your 'teen years' like?"

I froze I didn't know how to answer. I felt bad lying to her but did i have a choice?

"Well um I use to live in YorkNew. I moved out when I was 18. Along the way I met new people that I considered family and well thats where I met the father of my kids. My teen years werent very fun. I grew up on my own but someone took me in and well thats where I learned nen"

"You grew up on your own? That must've been hard. I have a sibling that also uses nen. He was teaching me too but I only learned the basics never developed anything more than that"

"Oh I don't think you've told me about your sibling teaching you."

"Im not sure how he learned but when we ran away he was the reason we managed to get by. I miss seeing him everyday"

"I hope he is doing good where ever he is. How are you doing with your pregnancy?"

"Oh my god its hell as much as I dont show it believe me im dying" She said with a small laugh which made me laugh as well.

"I don't know how you did it with 3 inside you (y/n) thats insane"

After a while we parted ways and I made my way to my house. It was already dark and I was getting them ready for bed.

"Mama" Ahmya said

"Yes ?"

"Dada"

"Ahmya daddy isn't here right now" I said and gave her a goodnight kiss

"Dada, I want see dada!" She said

"Ahmya daddy isn't here right now, Its late time to sleep" I said and tucked her in

I couldn't believe they're already asking for him. I went to my room and laid down in silence thinking about him. Slowly I drifting to sleep
