Even with sunglasses on, Kal had to squint her eyes to look up at John B balancing precariously on the roof of a half-built home. The outside had been finished a couple of days earlier but scaffolding still scaled the side of the home. The inside was still just a skeleton of what it would eventually look like. Developments were going up all over the island, nothing was finished yet but a new wave of Kooks would be moving in soon.

"That's like a three-story drop to your death," Pope stated. He was the most logical and safe one of the group and kept his two feet safely planted on the deck of the house. "I give a one-in-three chance of survival."

"Should I do it?" John B pondered jokingly.

Kal playfully rolled her eyes as she watched John B lick his finger and hold it up to the wind. "Do it." She edged him on from her spot sitting on the scaffolding.

John B raised a finger gun at her as he pretended to hit Kal down below, making sure he saved some action for Pope when he decided to aim a drill at him.

"They're going to have Japanese toilets with towel warmers!" Kie exclaimed as she walked out of the house and joined the group on the deck.

JJ groaned as he sat down next to Kal on the scaffolding. "Of course they are."

"That does not surprise me one bit," Kal shrugged in agreement. "Didn't expect anything less."

"This used to be a turtle habitat," Kie complained as she crossed her arms.

"Kooks don't care about turtles..." Kal put her sunglasses on the top of her head. "Just fancy toilets."

"Don't spill that beer," JJ warned as he watched JB almost drop the can from his perch. "I'm not giving you another one."

Seems like JJ spoke a little too soon because moments later, everyone heard John B yell "whoops" and then a splat as the beer can dropped to the ground, the contents spilling everywhere.

Kal couldn't help but laugh as John B mourned the loss of his beer. "Smooth."

"A-plus," Pope commented as he leaned over the deck railing and looked at the driveway. "Hey, uh, security's here."

"Let's wrap it up." Kal nodded as she stood up from her spot.

"Boys are here early today." John B noted as he began to climb down from the roof.

JJ looked at his best friend, "Humpty Dumpty, let's roll."

Kie grabbed Kal's arm as the two and Pope walked into the house. John B and JJ soon followed but not before JJ yelled, "Gray, is that you? Gary! Good to see you, man!"

The group ran through the house, laughing and whooping as they made their way downstairs of the unfinished house. They made it all the way to the garage before they had to turn abruptly when JJ ran into Gary.

"Not much of a hugger, man!" JJ called out as he narrowly dodged the security guard.

JJ grabbed Kal's hand as everyone raced out to the lawn and towards the street. Everyone watched Pope scale the large fence blocking their path first, eating shit as he landed. John B gave Kei a leg up as she swung herself over the fence before following after her. Kal refused JJ's help as she not so gracefully climbed up and over.

"Come on, Pope!" JJ teased, flinging himself over the fence effortlessly. He rushed to Pope, yanking his body up before breaking out in another sprint.

"Bus is leaving!" Kal called out to the two boys running behind her as she watched Kie just a few feet in front of her open the side door of John B's trusty van. The three spilled into the open doorway, laughing as John B honked the horn like he was driving a clown car. Kal let out a hearty laugh as she spotted Gary chasing after them on foot, "Check it out! Gary's gunning for a raise!"
