Chapter 19

Jack POV

I stare at her. I know that she won't catch me, her eyes are glued to the road. It's so tempting to push her hair out of her face, and it's adorable how her eyes crinkle...

I snap out of it. I can't fall for her; if my hunch is true, then she isn't within my grasp. She's a couple of light years out of reach. Once we reach her house, I scramble out and manage to open her door for her and bow ridiculously. She laughs.

"Milady." I say, removing a fake tophat. I look up and Elsa's still laughing once she's out of the car. I shut the door and we go into the house.

Inside, Elsa immediatly goes upstairs once she sees that her friends and sister aren't downstairs. I sit with the guys, who are all spaced out. Shang is flat out on his back, staring at the ceiling.

"What the hell happened to you guys?"

Elsa POV

"What the hell happened to you guys?" I ask, confused.

Anna is sitting, QUIETLY, with her chin in her hands. Thinking in a very unAnna way. Rapunzel is buried in a pillow on my bed, sprawled out with her hair everywhere. Mulan is punching a pillow, and, by the looks of it, the fifth one. And it's seams are already straining. Belle is the only normal one, reading, as per usual.

Belle looks up, and starts to explain.

"Well, the reason why Mulan was basically missing all day was her walk.

She met up with Shang, and they started racing. She beat him, then they did a bunch of fighting, mainly sparring which they both won some and lost some. Then they wrestled, and she almost kissed him. And almost enjoyed kissing him. Of course, you know how she hates anything like that," looking up, Mulan socked Belle in the arm, "I'm explaining it the way you explained it to me!" She complained. Rapunzel finally sat up too, and started talking, hushing Mulan.

"I'm telling my own story," she says, and I bite my lip against the laughter bubbling up in relation to her bright red blushing face, "I kind of tied Flynn up with my hair." I burst out laughing and she throws a pillow at me, "It's not funny! It's embarrassing. He snuck in and I was painting downstairs and he snuck up on me, and said in a really creepy voice, 'Alone at last' so I picked up the frying pan that I used last night. I haven't exactly put it back yet, and whacked him on the head, and tyed him to a chair. He woke up by the time I realized it was him and started to try and untie him." She says, biting her lower lip, "He came to and started laughing, until he realized how tightly I had bound him to the chair. It was one of the kitchen ones, too, so it was all weirdly shaped and ugh!" She said, flopping down.

"You also said he was really cute." Belle commented, teasing.

"Well, you said the same thing about Adam!" Rapunzel countered.

"Well, I didn't tie him to a chair." Rapunzel was silenced and leaned against the wall, sticking out her tongue at Belle.

"You did go out with him!" Anna said, snapping out of her trance.

Belle blushed, "Just ice cream!" I burned red and Anna's head snapped towards me.

"Where were you?" She asks, a smile blossoming across her face.

"Icecreamwithjack." I murmur quickly, but Anna still catches it.

"You got ice cream with Jack!" She said, falling down in her excitement.

I throw a pillow at her, and so does Belle. Anna just laughs, when Mulan finally pipes up, "What about you, your boyfriend and your crush?" Anna was silenced, turning bright red.

"She and Kristoff were up in your dads study for awhile." Belle says.

"Research!" Anna squeaks, burrowing under her beds covers. I laugh.

"Let's just... Stop talking about this before Anna blows up." I say, smiling.

"Let's go eat." I say, blush abated and smile evil. I go downstairs, Anna on my heels; hungry as always.

We get downstairs, and I manage to stop laughing. Belle drifts away, and I notice Adam following her. Maybe they aren't all bad. In the kitchen, I reheat some food in the microwave for myself, and the girls make their own food as well. We all ate, and for this one night there was peace. We laughed, watched movies and joked around. Then we slept.

We slept.

Normal book suggestion. 😛

The Life as We Knew it series by Susan Beth Pfeffer is AWESOMEEEE. It's told in diary entries that describe a postapocalypse America from a teenage girls point of veiw and is, in my opinion, very accurate. I love it, personally, and know of 4 books in the series. Otherwise, I have no idea. So go! Read to your hearts content!
