Leo was asleep on Aquarius' shoulder. She wasn't sure what it was, but travel made her sleepy. Aquarius looked down fondly at her as she swatted away Pisces' attempts of waking her up. The six zodiacs had managed to snag the long row in the back of the bus, so they could all sit together. Aries and Scorpio were in one corner, reading a book Scorpio had brought along. Next to Scorpio was Pisces, who had gotten bored of annoying the 'married couple' and resorted to annoying Aquarius and Leo. Aquarius had Leo on her other side, who was fast asleep, and Virgo had fallen asleep on Leo's shoulder as well.
It was a long ride, as they were camping much closer tp the south, where the weather was still comparable to moderate. Pisces still tried to deny cold weather as a possibility, as she much preferred heat. Scorpio couldn't argue with her enough to bring more sweatshirts, so instead he packed extra of his own.
As the zodiacs remained curled up, the bus came to a startling halt. Pisces and Virgo, who had both unbuckled in the name of comfort, groaned as they fell to the floor. Leo slept on, and Aquarius could not help but wonder how she could sleep through anything.
As much as she tried to wake Leo up, Leo would not budge. She still remained peacefully sleeping on her shoulder. As it got to be their turn to leave the bus, Virgo just picked her up and carried her off while Aquarius and Scorpio grabbed all the luggage.
They exited the bus to see their home for the next week. It was a barren campsite with several log cabins lining the edges. There were different sports fields and courts lining the campus so that kids could play during their free time, and a campfire and dining hall at the center of it all. the biggest notable downside (other than the humidity, according to Aquarius) was that the outhouses were separate and teetering on the edge of the woods.
"One day, I'm going to run a campground," one kid said, cackling.
"Shut up, Chris," his friend said to him. "Last week you said you were going to run a reality show for teenagers. Make up your mind, McClain."
Chris shrugged. "I don't see why I can't do both. You can help me."
The kid shrugged. "I'm going to be a chef."
Virgo finally felt Leo stirring in his arms. When she opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was his goofy smile.
"Where are we? What's going on?" she asked groggily, burrowing into his chest for warmth.
Virgo held her a little tighter. "The campsite. We just arrived."
She tried to wiggle her way out when she realized she was in public. "I need to get my luggage."
Virgo shrugged and kept holding her. "Aquarius has it, you're fine." He gave her a dumb smile. She settled back into his arms comfortably.
All the students gathered in the center of the campground, waiting for room assignments. The school had two trips, one in the fall, one in the spring. the zodiacs had all elected for the fall term, as spring was too complicated with exams. Their advisory stood on a bench with a piece of paper in his hand. He started reading off names gradually and painfully.
"Leo, Aquarius, Aries, Pisces," he read. "You are all in cabin six."
The girls cheered, as they all managed to be in the same cabin. Virgo set Leo down and they wandered off to cabin six.
"Virgo, Scorpio, Chris McClain, John Hatchett," he read. "Cabin 7."
Scorpio and Virgo both sighed an audible sigh of relief.
"Thank God we're in the same room," Scorpio said. "And thank god we're right next to the girls."
Virgo nodded. "I know, otherwise this trip would be so so bad."
