Y/N POV

i dropped my phone and fell to my knees, all i felt was anger and betrayal

"Y-Y/N i'm so sorry i-"

"no, shut up lalisa" i said above a whisper as hot tears streamed down my face

"i'm leaving, happy birthday" i picked up my phone and left crying

i heard a faint "no Y/N please!" before i left, running to wherever my feet would take me until i collapsed on my knees, catching cold shaky breaths while the snow was falling on me, my phone ringing like crazy but i ignored it

"Y/N!" jennie shouted not so far from me, wearing a cute pink coat and holding an extra one in her hands, i got snapped back into reality when her warm palm touched my cold cheeks

"what are you thinking!? it's cold and you left without a coat!" she looked into my teary eyes and figured it was not the time for a scolding so she sighed and helped me up.

"come on lets go inside the café over there" she pointed to a nearby café, i nodded and kept my head down.

we started walking to the café silently but she quickly stopped to wrap the spare coat around me. forgetting for a moment that she had it in her hands.

"thank you unnie" i muttered my voice a little husky since my throat is dry, she just smiled and held my hand reassuringly, as soon as we entered the café the warm atmosphere enveloped us making jennie sigh.

"come on lets go get a seat" she gently grabbed my arm and dragged me to an empty spot
"did you know she was going to do this unnie?" i asked her my voice a bit shaky from the pain

"no" she sighs, "the only thing i knew was that she was going to talk to sajangnim about something." she said in a small tone
"it's okay unnie" i squeezed her hand "i'll get us drinks what do you want?" i faced her

"i'll get what you want" i nodded and went to order

after a couple minutes of waiting i brought the hot chocolates to the table we sat in and handed one to jennie

"thank you" she smiled

"always welcome unnie" i gave her a small smile

"i'm sorry Y/N-ah i should've protected you from thi-" i sighed, "unnie you know this isn't your fault why are you saying sorry, you didn't even know she was going to do this." i held her hand in mine

"i know, but i feel bad" she fiddled with her fingers but i squeezed her hand again

"you shouldn't, it's okay unnie" i smiled at her

"it isn't okay she-" i hugged her "shh please don't remind me of it please" i begged her

after a while of chatting we went back to the apartment and i got greeted by a drunk lalisa who is sitting on the floor, making me scoff and chuckle bitterly. isn't it me who is supposed to be like that not her?

"get up lalisa" i nudged her but she just groaned and looked up at me

"no" she said weakly, making me sigh. i picked her up and carried her to her room as she wraps her arms around my waist, i placed her sleeping figure down on the bed ignoring the stinging sensation in my heart, not even realizing i was staring at her while tears were brimming my eyes.

"why'd you do this? was i not enough? or did you not love me enough..?" i lowly whispered, tucking a hair behind her ear, as i sniffled and wiped my tears away, trying to regain my composure i leaned onto her and gave her a long and what seems to be our last kiss.

"no matter how much you broke me, there will always be a piece of me that loves you with all my heart" i whispered to her

"i love you lalisa, i'm sorry i wasn't enough." i said and stood up, making my way out of the apartment, my heart sinking slowly each step.

(a couple months later..)

"yah get up!" i felt someone smack my butt really hard making me yelp and fall off the bed

"ah! unnie that hurts!!" i pouted at jennie

"well that's what you get for not waking up you dummy" she snickered and left, while i rubbed my eyes as i adjusted to the light

i've been living with her for a couple months now since she didn't want me to live anywhere else she just offered her place since she said "there's any extra room in my place just stay there okay?" making me sigh and nod

i opened my phone and checked the time, 8:37am on a saturday, "hmm saturday huh..movie day!!" i quickly unlocked my phone to message her saying "hey you better not forget it's movie day today! >:0 " and in less than a minute she replied, "yes ma'am, boss let us go home earlier today which is nice." she informed but before i could reply she messaged again "can you prepare food though i think we ran out..." i hummed and quickly got changed, after replying, then i went to pickup my car keys and left, heading to the store.

"ooh they have a strawberry flavored popcorn now, let me get one i wanna try it" i mumbled to myself, picking up one pack of microwave ready popcorn, "hmm what else..oh wait tortilla chips and guac how could i forget" i internally smacked myself but went straight to the chip isle where you can also find guac, quickly picking up both the items and heading straight to the counter to pay for it.

(timeskip to a couple hours of shopping later)

"jennie unnieeee!!" i said placing the bags on the table while jennie waddled over to give me a hug which i quickly accepted

"give me that and go get changed into your comfy clothes, i already got a movie picked out" she said with a smile and a subtle kiwi accent

apparently jennie didn't know she picked out a horror movie so now we're stuck with her screaming every two seconds

"are you sure you don't wanna change the movie?"

"no"

i huffed before she screamed and spilled a couple pieces of popcorn "yaaaah the popcorn is getting everywhere you scaredy cat" i whined

"aish you big baby, you know what let's just turn the movie off and cuddle, i'm kinda sleepy anyways so it's not gonna be much of a change." i just nodded and turned the movie off while she cleaned up the food

we both laid down on her bed as she slowly drifted off to sleep "goodnight dongsaeng" jennie mumbled while i softly hummed "goodnight unnie, love you " my face slowly started to inch near hers
"i love you too dongsaeng" way more than you know.
her eyes that slowly closed from the tiredness slowly opened up due to the close proximity of our faces, now we are just staring at each other while slowly moving closer

this is my only chance. jennie thought, fuck it.
she leaned into you more until...
