Chapter 6

Joel's POV

I arrived home on time after the swearing-in of Jennifer Coast as the leader of The Western Cartel. I didn't stay for the after party because In know my pride won't let me to stay.

Octavio had this long look on his face. Being my right had man, I know when he is angry, happy or emotionless. I know he wanted to stay for the after party to at least meet the new mafia leader of the greatest mafia group in the world to create a good and lasting business relationship with her but I am not a man who associates with anybody because I know that I wouldn't be needing her help in the future.

I was working in my study when suddenly Octavio rushed in without knocking which am already use to because he is like a brother to me, the brother I never had.

"Something terrible just happened at the after party for the Coast's family. It was reported that Jennifer saw suspected persons at the event and interrogated them and she found out they sent by El Diablo to set up a bomb and to kill the entire Coast's family but thee plan backfired as they are all doing fine since Jennifer ran into the burning building to save her father", Octavio said at once without taking a break.

"She's pretty brave", I say.

"And she's pretty sexy", he says and I just chuckle his response. He is very right saying that she is pretty because she really is. I confirmed that when I saw her at the main party.

It's not that I don't do relationships and I am not a one night stand either but I have to finish my main quest of taking over as the leader which is to bring down El Diablo and after I fulfil this my heart desire, I will pursue love when I have found the right person.

As for now, I wish Mr. Coast and his daughter quick recovery because I don't have anything against them and I want them to be well because right now I really needed their Jennifer's cooperation. I know Jennifer will want to seek revenge against El Diablo and this is aa perfect opportunity that I have to join forces with her even though I don't want to because I don't usually ask people for help.

But I need to take down that bastard for the death of my sister and my cousin in cold blood just to get through me but right now his blood and that of his whole family is next and I won't stop still I have had my revenge.
