The first thing Ferdinand did after waking up was head to the training room before Pandora even arrived. By the time she did, the first lesson she taught him was how to parkour. After lunch break, archery.

Whilst training was on, Ferdinand would ask her questions. He found out that Pandora is an assassin. She had lost her parents as a baby when the village her family was living in was ruined in an attack. Deimos found her and brought her in. She taught him how to use blades in the assassins style following those archery lessons. And finally after dinner, they managed hand-to-hand combat.

That routine went on for days. For the first few, Ferdinand felt his muscles ache due to the intensity of the training. But mostly due to his lack of exercise. After the first couple of weeks he'd tried sparring against someone other than Pandora. Pandora would dare her friends to try to fight against her apprentice and show off her pride in training him.

"Anyone else want a try?" Pandora asked the fighters after Ferdinand beat one of them in a match, but no one replied. "No?"

"I'll give it a go." The voice came from behind the watchful crowd. They cleared the way and revealed a dark-skinned man with a short, black afro. The man stepped forward and greeted Ferdinand as his opponent.

The both of them engaged in combat. The black man was on the offensive side, all Ferdinand did was block and dodge until he saw an opening that let him use his newly taught locks and eventually forced the combatant into submission.

The crowd clapped for Ferdinand's victory. The black man picked himself up. "I'm Oberon," he introduced himself.

"I'm Ferdinand."

"Everyone knows who you are." His voice told him that he's a very amiable guy.

The crowd dismissed and it was time for Ferdinand to go to bed. On his way to his quarters, he heard two people arguing in one of the rooms nearby. The door was open and he peeped through the small gap.

"He's not ready, Atlas." It was Deimos. "Sure he's been training, but sending him right off to the Underworld, I don't think that's such a good idea."

"So what do you propose?" Atlas responded.

"He needs to be tested first. Make sure he's ready."

"How?"

Deimos turned on his hologram projector and it displayed the portrait of a man. A few men infact. "Some of our allies were captured a few days back in Norland. Oberon proposes that we send a rescue team to get them out. And we'll put Ferdinand in that force. After all, he's been training for a month."

Atlas rubbed his chin. "Perhaps that would be a good idea. I'll talk to him." He began making his exit.

Ferdinand immediately ran like the wind to his room and laid himself on his bed. But he didn't close his eyes yet, one second of shut-eye could send him away into dream world.

"Ferdinand?" Atlas came through the doors.

"What is it." He got up to a sitting position.

"We might have a job for you." Atlas sat himself on the bed. "After being trained with Pandora, perhaps you would like to put your skills to the test. Down south in Norland, we have... allies who are captured by the seraphim. They're probably imprisoned now. I want you to help break them out."

"Can Pandora come along?" Ferdinand asked. "Cause if she's not going, then I'm not."

"We'll see about that. I'm gonna go talk to her." And just like that, Atlas left the room.
