"Everyone listen! We will all be moving to the dorms where all of you are gonna stay. This is part of the program guidelines, for head counts and member tracing. We'll be on after a few moments," the program manager shouted as the recording finished.
It was finely overwhelming, meeting trainees from other companies, seeing national producers themselves, even the thought of competing for the nation's pick is still a bit shocking. No trainee would've think going this far, yet this is only the beginning.
Everyone was about ready, having their luggages up in front of them. They only had to wait for that company who hadn't shown up until this late evening.
"What company hasn't arrived yet?" Jasper asked as he sat down, barely yawning.
"FM Entertainment," Jakarta answered while face down on her phone, not even minding to give Jasper a glance.
"They're such royalties. Tch," Jasper hissed as he fell on his luggage.
"They sure are."
Most of the trainees already fell off to sleep inside their company vans as they had to wait for the remaining trainees to arrive. Why don't they go first anyway? Yuan thought as he placed his head upon his partner's shoulders, eyes looking up to the lonely skies above painted with the blinking of the stars that danced to its own rhythm.
"You know what Khalil?" he muttered without removing his gaze from the sky. Khalil, on the other hand, was on his laptop, still working on some tracks they could use as reference. But as Yuan calls his partner's name, it fell on deaf ears.
"Khalil!" Yuan finally looked at the younger one, who's unmoved eyes are locked on the screen. He then removed the other earphone from the opposite side which surprised the latter.
"Yah why?" Khalil protested as he tried to take the other earphone back, but Yuan was stronger.
"Let me listen to what you're working," Yuan wore the earphone on as he spoke.
"Whatever."
"I've got something to tell you," Yuan once again brought his thoughts back as he leaned on the younger's shoulder and glanced at the laptop screen, like some sweet boyfriend you say.
"What news have you found again this time?"
"I heard something back to the dressing rooms before recording," Yuan glances at Khalil, trying to get the younger's attention. But he also knows Khalil is also listening, "The talk sounded so strange. It's really an unusual topic to discuss about."
"Maybe it's just some chitchat that you don't understand."
"No! Really. Who would talk about serial murder discreetly in such time and place?" Yuan slightly modulated his voice, which got the younger by surprise.
"Why are you suddenly shouting?" Khalil took off the earphone.
"Because you won't listen to me," Yuan refuted.
"Whatever you say. You will still have that eavesdropping habit of yours. Maybe its time to stop it, Yuan," Khalil said and took both of the earphones from the older's ear and went back to his business.
"But it's true though," Yuan whined at the sudden backfire and pouted slightly before looking at the sky. Little did he know Khalil saw the cute gesture and smiled in discreet. In coincidence, the trainees from FM Entertainment finally arrived. Everyone got ready and went inside the buses that will send them to their temporary homes.
