"You know, you're lucky you have good fighting skill in general, most people with strong quirks rely on them too heavily so they can't fight up close" y/n and bakugou had been sparring for an hour, but without quirks since they didn't know what they'd be going up against in the festival.

"You're not too bad either, did Aizawa Sensei train you? You have similar fighting styles."

"Yeah he starting helping me learn to fight after I told him I wanted to be a hero, who taught you how to fight?" y/n and bakugou were sitting down drinking water, she turned to see him grimace slightly.

"Just have a couple of years of experience from fighting the older kids when I was younger..."

"Hey you wanna go at it with our quirks?" y/n perked up after swallowing the last bit of her water.

"Are you sure? I don't feel like burning you today."

"You know your explosions can only burn me if they reach me right?" y/n said with a laugh.

"Woah where did the famous always flustered l/n go? All I see is pure balls right now if you think you can beat me," he said in a teasing way, and almost with a laugh.

"You wanna go?" y/n turned to him and laughed, Bakugou put down his water bottle and the two started fighting with their quirks, y/n kept laughing because she would pull him away with telekinesis before his hits would reach her, and that made Bakugou mad. The two kept going, making random jokes as they fought, and without realizing it they went until the sun started to set and Mistuki came out.

"Hate to break this up, but I have dinner ready, l/n dear do you wanna stay over?"

"Uhh," y/n turned to bakugou who simply was drinking water and shrugged, not really caring.

"yeah sure, lemme just text my dad first"

"okay well Katsuki can show you where the bathroom is so you two can clean up"

y/n and bakugou turned to look at each other and they didn't realize it, but they were a mess, y/n's shirt had all types of burns and Bakugous shirt had smoke and sweat all over, and his hair was really messed up, as well as a tiny scratch on his cheek.
