CHAPTER DOS

I pull up to Charli's house, my parents
barely let me out of my own house.
Felt like i was Cinderella trying to go
to the ball.

Approaching the door it's opened magically
by Charli who got my "here" text message. I
only came to the door so her parents don't
think I'm disrespectful even though I don't
know if they know this is a date or what not.

"I'm the one driving so you kind of have
to tell me the address of the place." I
chuckle as we get back into my car.

"Let me drive." Charli playfully pouts crossing
her arms, looking like she's about to have a
fake playful temper tantrum.

"You don't even have a license and I'm pretty
sure you still don't got your permit. I'm not
about to do the mugshot challenge in real
life." I state with a small chuckle even though
I know she isn't being serious.

"Shhhh I wanted my permit like months ago
we just never got to it, and now my tiktok stuff
takes up my time." She chuckles before
continuing, "but I've been studying the book
so maybe soon I can get that permit."

She finally gives me the address to some
popular restaurant, I mean maybe there is a
chance no fans will be there but this is LA.
And Charli has 50 million followers on tiktok.

I barely even remember the day I shot
my shot at Charli, I think it was a month or
two ago and we were hanging out and she
told me her feelings about a girl but was
very vague like she was avoiding saying
it's me. So I grew a pair and asked her
out the next day.

I pulled into the restaurant parking lot, it is
nearly six so no surprise that it's busy. I've
never been to this restaurant before and I
lived in LA for a long time. Charli told me
to dress somewhat fancy and I have no
fancy clothes what so ever,I dress like the
earlier 2000's.

"You said you've never been here before
and I thought it would be fun to take you.
Isn't it funny how I've been here more
times then you and you've lived here
longer." Charli rambles with a chuckle
as we head into the restaurant.

"Just the two of you?" The lady at the wait
to be seated area questioned us with a look
of 'where's your parents' seeming like a total
Karen before continuing to say, "that'll be a
few minutes."

We finally get seated and this little girl maybe
ten at the table across from ours is pointing
at us. You could see her parents clearly
saying, "no pointing, that's rude." Which
makes me chuckle and Charli shake her
head and roll her eyes at me with a smile.

"When can we double date with Addison
and Dixie?" I joke as we continue reading
our menus, even though I already know
what I want but our waitress clearly isn't a
very good one, not to sound like a Karen.
