My Love Story

Chapter 6

(Emily's POV)

A month. That's how long I've been here. Wherever I am. I see Lincoln and Joey and lot. It's quite annoying. I get some food but not enough. I have to stay down here until I say yes to Joey. I hope River comes and saves me. 

(The next day)

I'm just sitting here thinking when Lincoln comes in. He says, "So. I'm giving you a choice. You can either say yes to Joey, or I will kill River. Either way though, you will be set free. Your choice."

I say, "Does Joey know you said this?"

He says, "Yeah."

I say, "Ok. Well, I pick neither."

He says, "Not an option."

I say, "Fine. I will hate myself, but Joey."

He says, "Ok."

He removes the chains around me and allows me to get up. I walk out of the room, but before I do, I say, "Btw, I was lying about dating Joey. Bye"

I run out of the house as fast as I can. I run until I'm at my house. when I get there I lock the doors and windows and grab my phone. I call River to make sure he's fine. He picks up on the first ring. He says, "Emily?! Where were you?!"

I say, "I was kidnapped. Listen. Be careful. Joey and Lincoln kidnapped me and since I ran they will probably come after you to kill you."

He says, "Are you serious?! I thought they were my friends?!'

I say, "They were. Now they are mad."

He says, "Come over to my house. I'm gonna protect you."

I say, "On my way."

I grab my car keys and walk out of the house after locking it. I get in my car and see a figure walking towards me. I start my car and drive off. 

(At River's house)

Once I'm in the house I say, "River! I'm here."

I hear a person behind me so I turn around. I see Joey. He says, "You think you can escape me? Nice try."

I say, "Where's River?"

He says, "Dying, if not already dead."

I kick him and stab him, then run upstairs. I see River on the floor dying. I call an ambulance and once they get here I immediately get in my car and drive off. I get to the hospital and wait in the emergency room.
