"Wake up!" Heron shouted,
"Is it time?" I said forcing myself awake, I looked around and saw everyone slowly waking up,
"It's time for us to leave," "Let's head out so we can cover more ground," Quintus added
"Shouldn't we eat something first?" I asked, as my stomach growled
"There's a limit the plates can make, so we need to ration our foods,"
"Let's leave before anyone sees us, especially the cyclops," We hurriedly packed our bags, and crossed the barrier, It didn't look as scary as it was at night, but it still had the tingly feeling as if something wasn't supposed to be there. All the trees were barren, and creatures were lurking in every corner.
"Why happened to the Uncharted Meadows, and how is everywhere so beautiful?" I asked
"It started at the beginning of Ethermoore, a blob of magic that divided into two entities, the yin and yang of Ethermoore and when they balanced out, magic was created and so was everything you see," Zelpha started
"But the problem was that for every good, there is some bad,"
"Hence, the Uncharted Meadows," Irene finished
"HALT!" shouted something behind us, as we turned around slowly, there was a creature twice my size and resembled a bull that had the characteristics of a person.
"What are you doing here," It shouted
"We come in peace," Heron said walking towards the beast,
"What is that?" I whispered to Florus,
"That's a minotaur, they're half-human half-bull. They were forbidden because they are too dangerous and are too hard to control," she whispered back
"Then how do we stop it from crushing us?"
"We can only bargain with it, Minotaurs are really greedy creatures," once she said that, an idea popped in my head
"Silence!" It shouted, its voice boomed and felt as if an earthquake was coming.
"We come here on a quest, and we mean no harm," Heron said
"I haven't eaten in a while, so you all look delicious," it said as it salivated
"We can bargain with you," I said, stepping in front of Heron
"Step back Phoebus," Heron whispered, trying to push me back,
"What do you have that's better than dinner," it said
"We can give you plates," I said pointing at Zelpha's bag
"The plates can give you anything you imagine to eat, but you only have a deal if you let us go,"
"What are you doing, we don't have many plates and if you give them away; we might starve once we run out of them," Heron said
"Would you rather get crushed," I said knowing the Minotaur would rather have a way to get food for days than one meal,
"Okay, you have a deal," It said, Zelpha handed me one of the plates, which I gave it to the Minotaur. It turned around and took one last look at us before stumbling away.
"See, I saved us, we still have some plates, and they'll be enough for us," I said to Heron,
"She's right," Quintus said
"Okay, thanks, but don't do that again, this place is too dangerous,"
"Alright, let's hurry before we encounter another Minotaur or worse,"
