"Let's go," Heron said, nudging me awake; It was as if I didn't sleep as the humid and dark cave didn't make everything that had happened better. Everyone else had woken up and seemed to have recovered from what happened. Ozor was also awake and flying around excitedly.

"We should hurry, we don't know when the last moon would disappear, and we'll be too late," Quintus said,

"It's dark in the cave, and we are going to need light," I said, looking deeper into the cave, it was pitch-black, and we couldn't see any danger, even if it was right in front of us.

"She's right," Ozor said,

"Any ideas?"

"I know what to do," Florus said, after thinking for a while,

"There's a flower that shines brightly when it's set on fire, the plot twist is ... it doesn't burn,"

"Wow, but how do we set it on fire?" I asked

"Leave that to me," Ozor said, grinning from ear to ear. Florus gently touched the walls of the cave, then a pale-green flower bloomed stretching across the walls into the deep unknown;

"Okay, my turn," Ozor said boldly, he took a big breath and once he let it out, a fierce flame that looked like, it could destroy anything in its way, came out and the flower began to shine. It was as if the flower was absorbing the flame and transforming it into a green, fluorescent light that made the cave seem creepier but brighter.

"Are there any other colors, like white for example," I asked jokingly,

"The colors change after a while depending on various factors," Florus responded

"Let's not waste any more time," Irene said,

"How long do the flowers last?"

"Not long, so we better hurry," Florus replied, we started our journey deeper into the cave. Florus's lights helped us see the inscriptions on the wall that only Zelpha could understand, it seemed like there were also some drawings as if trying to tell the history but there was no time to look at them. Maybe once I get to the two hearts, I would get some answers.

"Would we have to fight anything, I don't think my body has recovered from..." "Shh," Heron said suddenly,

"That's..."

"Shhh! do you hear that," Heron whispered. I listened closely and heard a ticking sound, it was as if there was a clock ticking somewhere, but where,

"What do you think that is," Irene whispered, suddenly, the lights went out.

"It should've lasted longer than that," Florus said, with her voice sounding shaky,

"Should we..." Ozor started, but what interrupted by a louder sound, this time, it didn't sound like anything I'd known, it was as if an earthquake was coming from everywhere around us,

"Maybe it's.....AHHHH!" I screamed as the floor beneath us opened and we fell into what seemed like a bottomless pit from how long we fell. As everywhere was pitch-black and I couldn't see anything, I felt as if I was about to die all over again and even though everything happened fast, it felt like my life was in slow motion as it flashed before my eyes. However, it all came to a stop with a thud, and then, I passed out.

"Wake up," Heron said, shaking me back to consciousness,

"What...happened," I said. I felt as if my head was on fire,

"We fell somewhere but everyone is okay, we need to find a way to brighten this place, and we don't know where Ozor is; he didn't fall with us and we don't know where he has gone," Heron said. As I looked around, I noticed some lights leading to a hallway but it was too dim to see what's coming,
