THREE;
New friends,
Triana looked critically at her GPS from her phone. She looked up to try and fix herself in the slum before grimacing as she wondered again where this suicidal momentum was coming from.
There, she was in a popular neighborhood, in the middle of the night with no ounce of landmark.
Maybe she should have agreed to go to this fucking party. At least she would be with Ander. And yet she knew that she couldn't hang on to him any longer. She was sinking their relationship. She could see it. His questions about her friends were enough to make her mad. And she knew it was just a misguided way for him to regain some of his freedom. Even if he didn't admit it out loud. She knew Ander well enough to know what he was feeling. Just because she felt it too.
They had never been one of those locked up couples. They had their own social lives aside and that was why they always worked so well. But everything had changed, and Triana wasn't sure she could lie to him any longer if she didn't impose some distance between them.
She bit her lower lip as she made it to her destination shortly before looking up at the modest-sized house in front of her. It was a simple house. With a not so well maintained garden and a yard just in front. There was a floor and a small porch at the entrance. Triana could see some imperfections here and there in the paint job.
She placed her phone in the back pocket of her jeans as she placed a hand on the small gate before pushing it to make her way into the driveway. She stopped in front of the mosquito door before leaning to reach the doorbell. She immediately crossed her arms to her chest in anticipation before giving a nervous look over her shoulder to the rather noisy neighborhood.
She could hear the barking of dogs in the distance and the sound of glass.
Suddenly the door opened, letting Triana jump as she pivoted on her heels. Izadora raised an eyebrow with a smirk before nodding at her expression."You should see your head. Is this your first time out of your small residential area?"
"How do you know I live in a residential area?" Triana immediately asked on the defensive before folding her lips in realization at the sight of the Mosqueros brunette."Right."
"Do you want to enter or ...?"
Triana narrowed her eyes in embarrassment before swallowing as she pushed the mosquito door open. She took a hesitant step in the first room, which used to be a small living room of modest size. There was a couch that was already badly lit on her left and a large plasma screen hung on the furthest wall of her.
Iz motioned for her to move further as she moved away to another room, letting Triana go a little further to the center of the room. She took in the various modest pieces of furniture before seeing some personal touch. She raised an eyebrow at a photo frame on the small table lined up next to the couch before looking up at Iz's agreement as to what she supposed to be the kitchen. She had heard glass and water leaking a little earlier.
