"Is it almost finished?" Malachi asked, setting down the mug beside Rowan's desk and place of work. She looked up at him and smiled, resigning herself from the page before sipping from her mug and leaning back with a groan.
"That's the thing, I don't know how to finish it. It's like nothing would do it justice at all... I-... I wish I could ask him." She said solemnly, looking to the portrait drawing of the man she had thought of every day for the past couple years. He had a constant reign over her mind and it seemed no one else was good enough to replace him.

"You'll get there just trust yourself... it's amazing as it is but obviously-..."
"The ending is always the most important part of a book... yes Malachi I've heard you say it before. Just please tell me something, what do you think he would want me to say at the end?"

Malachi shrugged and placed his hand on her shoulder, and leaning down to kiss her head of hair lovingly.
"I don't know but... whatever it is, it's probably better then you think." Rowan suddenly sat upright and began to type once again, the words flowing from her like a fountain of knowledge. Malachi read it over and smiled... looking at Rowan in admiration of her cunning.

"It's perfect..." she came away from the documented book she had spent year and a half completing, developing every moment in the book to make sure it was perfection.

"He would love it Rowan... because you wrote it." Malachi said before walking off and leaving Rowan to her contemplation.

She smiled at the title.

'The Arrow Of Time by Rowan Lovhwood, a brief telling of a future traveller who ends up in the company of the gypsy leader of a razor gang.'

"I love you Tommy... I hope I did you justice." She came out of the room and smiled, fiddling with her locket before opening it to see the picture of Malachi and a true to life painting she had completed of Tommy himself. The work had taken hours as she just couldn't reanimate the stars in his eyes that had faded from the war but returned in her presence.

"I miss you... and maybe one day... we'll meet again."

And that's that... wapow it's done. This book has been a hell of a book to write and probably the best I have written in entirety so I'm pretty proud. I hope you're not disappointed with the ending, I felt as if it was best this way but of course them being together would've been the ultimate ending... but unrealistic in the circumstances. I hope you enjoyed it and please follow me for more stories like this because I have so many ideas that I hope to publish and complete.

Thank you for reading and I really appreciate your comments.

I need to credit a few ff that I've taken inspiration from in certain things when I was writers block central, so thank you to people works I've integrated into my own story.
