What Chat Noir had witnessed shocked him. Queen Bee and Volpina tied up and unconscious. Ladybug stood near the imprisoned superheroes. She smirked at her masterpiece. Surely this will lure out Chat Noir.

The turtle-themed superhero immediately sprung out into action, protecting himself and the two motionless superheroines.

"You?" Lady Fortune laughed. "What are you going to do? Die?"

"If I have to," Carapace stated. His voice shook, his body shook with terror, but he held his ground. "Everyone dies, might as well make it count for something."

Lady Fortune's laugh emanated. Her eyes narrowed. "Don't play the hero - my fight is not with you."

"Funny, you're hurting people like me just fine. I'd say that makes it about us." Lady Fortune stared at him.

"Wow, you're all pretty useless without Ladybug, aren't you?"

"Pitiful, absolutely, pitiful."

"Good to see you unharmed."

"Unharmed? You knew them. You knew exactly what you did to them, what you would gladly do to me. Do you really think I stand here unharmed."

"Yeah, well, I shut everybody out. Don't take it personally. It's just easier."

He narrowed his eyes and clenched his fist.

"Do not challenge me."

He ran through a maze of buildings and winding side streets as the sky rumbled, and heavy rain bounced off the cobblestones. His brushed-back blond hair that is swept to the right, whipped back and forth behind him like a fiery tale as he flung himself over buildings and cafés.

Adrien hid behind a building and detransformed. He wore a white button-down shirt with an upturned collar and sleeves rolled up above his elbow, which he keeps unbuttoned. Underneath, he wears a black shirt with five horizontal stripes around the chest which are coloured, from top to bottom, yellow, olive green, bright green, dark green, and periwinkle. He wears blue jeans and orange sneakers with white laces and a logo of a black butterfly in a circle on the sides. He fed the black cat-like kwami his favourite cheese. In his mind, he was devising a full-proof plan to confront Lila about the lies she has been about them dating. It made him feel sick to his stomach.

The Italian chestnut brown‒haired girl sat on a green bench at Place des Vosges minding her own business. His every movement was stiff as he walked towards the compulsive liar, his hands curled into fists. She couldn't see his face, but his jaw was tense, and she could imagine the coldness in his emerald eyes.

"So," Lila said slowly, her normally sweet voice gone. "You wanted to talk."

"Don't act surprised," Adrien growled‒ That wasn't just an edge to his tone, it sounded like he had actually growled between words. "I've given you more than enough chancesso just back off before I'll do something that I might regret."

"Hmm," Lila hummed, seemingly unaffected by what was clearly a threat. "I am very fond of you, Adrien. You know that."

"Are you listening?"

"Yes, it just takes me a while to process so much stupid at once."

"Just know that this feeling isn't mutual," He replied. "Regardless, we had a deal and you're breaking it."

Deal? What kind of deal? What was that even supposed to mean?

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Lila said softly in a tone that everyone was used to. The meek Lila, an almost apologetic tone in her voice.

"I told you not to fall in love with me."

"Kiss me."

"Please shut up. I can't stand how appealing your voice is." Adrien declared with sarcasm dripping from his voice.

"Come over here and make me."

"Don't. I don't need to hear your pathetic excuses anymore."

"It was necessary, this was my plan all along."

"Just so you know, I don't regret anything."

"This isn't over, Lila." With that being said, the ashy blonde male left the manipulative liar standing there stunned. His next plan was to find Lady Fortune and bring back Marinette to her true self.

Chat Noir returned to the fight, but this time as Adrien, so he'd have a chance at talking to Marinette making her see that this was all an illusion; a lie. Adrien tried talking to her, convincing her, Marinette was super close to trusting him. But the Hawkmoth got the better of her.

"Not you again, would you please leave me alone." The midnight-blue haired supervillain seemed uninterested in whatever the Agreste boy had to say to her. Who could blame her? She saw the love of her life kiss her arch nemesis with no regrets as if nothing had happened.

"You don't strike me as a professional criminal. "

"That's what makes me good at it."

"Hearts are like bread dough. They're longer they're played with, the harder they become."

"I don't want your help. I just want the pain to stop!"

"Heroes and Villians, we're all somewhere in between."

"If this is your oh-so-brilliant plan of convincing me to join the good side again, forget it, sorry it's just so much fun to be bad."
