Penelope stood up from her sitting position which she was in for a while, trying to get the files all together. "Okay, I got it all." She said confidently, then stood up, her back towards the screen.
Y/N felt like some members of the team didn't believe she had what it takes, but she'd prove them wrong. Garcia continued. "4 victims have been found in the desert of Phoenix, Arizona."
She paused for a second, almost like she didn't want to even comprehend what these victims had to go through. "The victims were all single women with multiple stab wounds on her body, before suffering a fatal knife to the throat."
Garcia looked repulsed, and mumbled something like, 'I need to see some kitten photos after this.' Then, Y/N heard a peculiar voice. Her head turned to the source of the sound.
What seemed to be a tall, long curled hair, with deep brown eyes was focused on the screen. "Was there any sign of sexual abuse?" He asked, as if it was just a normal question.
Penelope shook her head, and set down the remote that controlled what popped up on the screen. She took a deep breath. "Why are we just being notified now? This is obviously a serial killer, and possibly a spree killer if something sets the unsub off."
SSA Hotchner pitched in. Garcia looked ashamed, and then winced. "Sir they were all found at the same time.." She said softly, and Hotch looked at his team.
"Do you have a travel bag Y/N?" She replied with a simple yes. "Good. Wheels up in 30." He said sternly, then picked up the folder and walked out of the room.
Y/N seemed confused. She looked to her left to see the same boy who she heard talking earlier. "Um, what's an unsub?" She asked nervously.
"My name is Doctor Spencer Reid. But you can call me Reid or Spencer." He said, then answered her question. "Unsub is an abbreviation for unknown subject which is who we refer to throughout the whole case."
A dark toned man to her right chuckled. "Well pretty boy, looks like you're making friends." He said mockingly, and then got up, walking out with Callahan.
Callahan gave Y/N a reassuring look, and she felt a bit more calm. She then stood up herself, case filed held tight to her chest.
30 minutes pass.
Everybody walked into the plain, and from where they were in West Virginia it wasn't going to take a devastatingly long flight. She rummaged through her bad, when Garcia popped up on a computer.
Everybody took turns asking their turns, wanting to find out how to victims were connected. Y/N started to right things on paper as she got the information.
"All the women seemed to know each other because they went to the exact same club. That club would be.." She stretched her sentence and you could practically hear her concentration.
"The club is Club Neon. Y/N, do you have any questions?" Penelope asked, turning the attention on her. "Actually, yes. The way these victims were stabbed showed rage, but men usually dispose the bodies roughly."
She explained, and Reid looked up at everybody. Callahan spoke up for the first time Y/N heard. "Well go on Spencer, don't hold information." She pressed him.
Reid was gladly ready to help. "Y/N is right. Even if these bodies were dumped in the middle of the desert, they look almost kind of peaceful. I think these stab wounds were postmortem."
He said to everybody, the moment of realization hitting them. "If the unsub is a woman the slit throat might have been done when the victim was drugged so they wouldn't feel anything."
Y/N said her facts that she'd gathered before anyone else could. They wrapped up their conversation. A case hadn't gone by this fast in years.
