Everything was silent and still. Y/N backed away from the scene, and covered her face. It seemed like everyone was staring at her, judging silently. She felt the tears swell up.

But no. Not in the FBI she wasn't going to cry just because somebody was murdered. She felt guilt deep down, and she felt a small hug from behind her. Then another. It was Callahan and JJ.

She didn't expect to get any of the guys to have sympathy for her. Y/N wiped her eyes and she slowly walked to the car with the rest of them. The case was over, now they had to get back to Quantico.

Y/N stared at the floor of the car. In her mind, she played out the situation in her head over and over again until finally she got snapped out of it by JJ telling her that they were ready to get on the jet.

She got out of the SUV and kept her head down. She sat in the corner seat, and looked out the window, trying to forget about everything. She heard footsteps approaching where she sat, then turned her direction towards the seat across her.

The well put together Doctor Reid sat in front of her. "I know what you're going through. You know, According to an article from Psychiatric Times, 40% of grievers meet the criteria for major depression one month after their loss, and 24% still meet the criteria after two months."

He continued. "Except your loss would just be watching somebody die in front of you." He mumbled, and she looked down at him. "The fact is interesting but it doesn't exactly help my situation, Spencer."

Reid sighed, and moved a strand of his long curly hair out of his face. "Sorry Y/N. I know my statistics aren't much help. But, I've been in your place before. She was a bad guy. You can't feel bad for her that much."

He tried to explain, but Y/N just nodded, laughing sadly. "Yeah I know. But she was just as human as the rest of us sitting in this jet." She whispered, and Spencer felt her pain. Sadly, even if Amy killed 5 people in the end she was still human.

Reid reached over and grabbed her hand, holding it. "I know sorry can't change what happened. But she was a bad guy. We all witness something bad in the field. This is just the start." He told her roughly.

Y/N was surprised that he was holding her hand. She started to warm up. "Not exactly reassuring but you're right. I'll get past this, promise." She promised herself, and Spence. She took a deep breath.

The doctor slipped his hand away from hers, and smiled lightly. "You'll get over it. You're strong, that's why you're here at the BAU with the best team they have." He reassured her, then stood up.

She thought he was leaving but he took the seat right next to her. "You feel like crying, don't you? I also know that in this job the emotional limit is a lot. But right now we aren't on a case. You can cry."

Y/N gasped softly, and then looked down. She didn't want to be emotional, but at the same time she felt like she was going to have a breakdown. She then looked up at Spencer, and laid her head on his shoulder.

She let the tears swell up in her eyes then let them go. It was almost a relief. Morgan spotted them and felt bad for Y/N, but at the same time knew himself that they cared for each other already.

This was going to be a long flight home, but she felt comforted and safe. This might've been her best cast, even if it was just her first.
