I promise that one day I'll be around

I'll keep you safe, I'll keep you sound

Right now it's pretty crazy

And I don't know how to stop or slow it down

Chapter 7:

Lana

After a quite awkward talk with Mr. Dockworth, I slipped into my next class with an excused late pass.

My mind was all over the place and I was not able to focus on whatever work was in front of me.

In order for me to get an A on this project, I would have to truly reveal everything to Peyton. It's not like I don't trust Peyton, but was I really ready to reveal all to him? The only person that truly knows everything about me is Channing and telling him all there is to know was hard enough.

Just trust your instinct.

I breathe slowly through my nose and out through my mouth as I try to calm myself down.

You can do this, don't stress about a tiny detail.

Slowly, I pull out my CW folder and scan the project paper. This break will more mean deep topics to foresee. I mentally curse at Mr. Dockworth for being such a good CW teacher.

The bell rings, signaling that the half day is now over. Everyone bustles out of the room and noisily chit chats about the big game tonight. Oh yay. The big game.

Can't I just stay home and watch Supernatural? I really wasn't in the mood to sit through a long Lacrosse game while everyone around me chants and screams plays at the players on the field.

But I promised Channing I would be there.

And Peyton.

Oh Peyton, how I would love to just unlock all your secrets and tricks.

"Hey there grumpy cat!"

Speak of the devil...

"Hey Peyton. Look, I'm really not in the mood to joke around right now."

"Understandable. I wouldn't want to either if we were sworn into helping Mr. Dockworth with paperwork after school."

"Crap! I totally forgot! Way to make the situation worse Peyton." I joked. LIghtning the mood a little.

"Don't go blaming me! Its your fault you got detention in the first place!"

"Well you didnt have to go all superman on me and come to my rescue either so, I say we're even."

"Toushe." He smirked and I couldn't help but laugh.

"YO! PEYTON! Couch wants us on the field for warm up asap!" Channing yelled, suddenly running by. He stopped when he saw me behind Peytons tall build.

"Oh hey Lana. I'll be seeing you in the regular bleachers right?"

I nodded my head and stared at Peyton who wasn't too fond of the situation at hand.

"Tell couch I'll be there after I finish some work for Mr. Dockworth."

Channing nodded at both of us and ran towards the locker room. It was silent for a moment until Peyton finally cleared his throat.
