(For story sake, Wonpil is still older than Dowoon but he flunked a grade also their in 6th grade<obviously>)

Dowoon was sitting in his seat during his boring home room. His chin resting on his hand as he looked out the window. He never did much, he had friends but they were all older or just in different classes.

He heard the door open, believing it was the teacher entering he faced the entrance. But his gaze was greeted upon someone else, someone new. He had never seen this person before and he was glad he was able to.

It was a boy looking just little older than him, short with a cute look to him. He had caught the attention of Dowoon. The boy looked for an open seat and found one that was in the same row as Dowoon but all the way in the back.

He dropped his stare, believing if he were to be caught it would have been embarrassing. He nervously played with his fingers as he couldn't get the face of the boy out of his head.

It was weird.

They haven't even spoken let alone locked gazes and he was already feeling all giddy inside. Class started and everything went as normal, the only difference was the beating of his heart when he heard the name of the boy.

Kim Wonpil.

Dowoon nodded to himself, taking note of the name that he surely would never forget. When the bell rung for lunch, Dowoon didn't attempt to talk to Wonpil. Admittedly, he was a shy person who rarely spoke to others so he finds it difficult to try and speak to the boy who makes him feel different.

He sat down at a lunch table, his group of friends had always came down late since their class was a few floors higher than his. But once they got there they joined Dowoon at the table.

"Yo, Drum, Bob confessed to his crush before class today. That's what Brian said at least." One of Dowoon's friend said. He had dyed blond hair with round thin glasses, his name was Jaehyung but they would sometimes refer to him as Chicken Little but mostly Jae for short. He was from America, born in Argentina, he moved to Korea a few years ago and is currently learning how to pronounce and read the language better.

The one Jae had names Brian huffed and crossed his arms, "Who's Brian?!" He spoke angrily. He too was from another country, though born and mostly raised here in South Korea. He had reddish hair that parted slightly, showing his forehead. He speaks both English and Korean fluently, unlike Jae who mostly spoke English and struggles a bit with Korean.

That is why 'Brian' would often speak to Jae in English as if to show him some sort of comfort.

Oh, and Brian was actually named Younghyun or YoungK for short. Though, Jae usually calls him Brian since that was his English name, even if the younger boy hates it.

"Shut up man, you English, you Brian!" Jae said in English, leaving the other two(Dowoon and 'Bob') confused.

'Bob' shook his head as the two bickered at each other in English. He looked over at Dowoon, "So, how was your day?" He asked. He had brownish hair, unlike Dowoon's black hair, it was short but long enough. His name was Sungjin, he was often called Bob by Jae and he had gotten used to the nickname so he didn't bother to argue.

"Don't change the subject, what happened with that confession?" Dowoon demands he knows how it went, he didn't even know Sungjin had someone he liked!

Sungjin laughed and rubbed the back of his neck, "I didn't confess to anyone, you know how Jae loves to gossip." Now that Dowoon thought about it, that was correct, Jae was known to start a rumor or two between the friend group. Of course, no one took him seriously so they never did fight about that.

Dowoon laughed a little before looking around the cafeteria from his seat. He wasn't sure what he was searching for, but he knows that once he finds it he will know exactly why. His eyes landed on the lonely boy who sat at a table by himself, he looked to be a shy person just like Dowoon.

"Hey, what are you looking for?" Younghyun asked, his pointless argument with Jae being finally over.

"Huh? Oh, it's nothing." Dowoon shrugged and continued to eat his lunch.

When class started again, Wonpil sat in the back of the classroom again. He never really like the front so he would always be further from the teacher. He started doing some homework that he had received from his previous class and waited till the teacher came in.

After school, Wonpil walked home. His house wasn't too far from the school so his parents trusted he would know the way home and make back safely. Today he believed it was quite lonely, he did have fun though. As much fun as a lonely person can have at least.

He still couldn't understand why he had to repeat the grade, he knew he had flanked the final exams but he had good grades, it was just a fluke! He knocked on his house door, waiting for his mother or father to open it. They didn't trust him to have a key, he lost his last one.

"Oh, Wonpil-Sweetie, come in, it's awfully cold today!" His mother exclaimed as she rushed her little son inside. Wonpil let his mother drag him to the kitchen to eat an after school snack.

Though it was spring, the weather was still freezing temperatures and it would snow occasionally. But today, the weather was almost perfect. The sky was clear and the group was snow free, but it was freezing.

"Your father has to stay and work late today, so it's a Wonpil and Mommy day!" She smiled happily as she puts a plate of homemade cookies and milk down in front of her son. Wonpil loves sweets, his favorite was chocolate and cookies. His was glad his mom knew him so well to tell what he was craving at the moment.

He grabbed two cookies and began taking a bite out of one. "Thank you, they taste great!" He said after swallowing his bite. He shared them with his mother and they joked and laughed at each other after noticing the milk mustache they both had.

"Come on, you said you wanted to play video games today, right?" She spoke cheerfully as she walked to the living room, Wonpil following closely behind. She took out a Mario game and put it in the console after she gave Wonpil a control.

They played for about an hour before Wonpil's bed time. "Time to get ready, I hope we can have fun again tomorrow. Maybe your father can join us too." She kissed Wonpil's forehead and rubbed his hair.
