Memories are such a fragile little thing.
They are made as we live, yet disappear without us noticing.
Sometimes they would come back at certain moments.
Other times they'll be lost and never to be seen again.
This was much like what Dowoon thought when he first met Wonpil after a little over 10 years since they last met. He didn't think it was possible for someone to forget something like them hanging out and having fun. Would that mean Dowoon was the only one who truly cherished their relationship?
But memories do fade over time, your mind doesn't care if it's important or not.
And yet here he was, sitting in the coffee shop alone staring off at Wonpil as he took orders and delivered them. He just didn't want to accept this new harsh reality that had hit him like the world didn't care.
He was conflicted and confused about the situation. Should he try to at least be friends again or...
"Pardon me, but you look a little down. It's our duty to put a smile on any customers faces, plus it's my break." Said a soft slightly high pitched voice. It was a girl with pretty shoulder length light brown hair, her eyes were blue, she didn't look Korean but she had asian like features. "I'm Kimoon, but please call me Elle, I prefer my English name than my Korean one."
Dowoon nodded, too shy to say anything. A pretty girl was talking to him, WILLINGLY!!! "I-I'm Dowoon..."
The girl smiled and then raised her hand to signal a waiter. But what confused Dowoon was that she shouted 'babe!' When trying time get the attention of a worker.
His confusion was soon to disappear to disappointment and sadness when he witnessed something he never expected.
Wonpil came up to the table with a smile, the girl kissed his cheek with a giggle. Dowoon couldn't say he hated her since she did nothing wrong, but he certainly didn't like her that much.
"Hon, please give this young man a chocolate cake, I'll pay." She said nicely to her boyfriend . Wonpil nodded and left to get the order ready.
"You don't have to—"
"But I want to! Come on, I'm not gonna leave you until you put a smile on that face of yours."
How can I smile when your literally dating the love of my life?
Dowoon sighed and gave the biggest smile he can muster at the moment.
Kimoon rolled her eyes but laughed a little, "I meant a real one, but a smile's a smile. When your cake comes, I'll pay and leave ya."
It was sad...her smile was almost as bright and pretty as Wonpil's. They compliment each other so well, Dowoon was sad.
He knew even if they were still friends and the move didn't happen this was bound to happen to one of them. They would go on and start dating.
He just...didn't want that to happen in this way. Why couldn't it be him?
The cake arrived and Kimoon left along with the unbelievably cute waiter.

Dowoon got home to his shared apartment, his Hyungs' were all practicing but they told him to take the day off since he was tired and wanted recover time from yesterday. He might need some recover time after today's discovery.
He jumps on his bed and lays on his back as he thought about the recent events that happened. Wonpil must have really forgotten about him.
It wasn't fair.
He felt even worse since he noticed how good of a couple the two were even though he barely saw much. That was just how compatible they were.
Dowoon jumped when he heard a sudden knock on his door. He looked at where it came from and saw Sungjin standing against the door frame.
"I know it's tough..." he started, walking to Dowoon's bed to sit down. "I really can't say much about how you feel about it."
"It's fine, Hyung. I just need some time to accept it." He explained what he saw today and with each word Sungjin's expression changed to one of sympathy. He really can't say anything to comfort Dowoon, he was afraid to say something wrong.
Sungjin doesn't know what to do, he only let Dowoon hug him as the younger layes his head on Sungjin's shoulder. Dowoon was thankful for the silence, all he needed was someone to comfort him, talking was unnecessary right now.
Soon enough, his exhaustion took over and he was resting on Sungjin. The male smiled down at the friend he has grown to love like a brother, setting him down gently on the bed while covering him with blankets.
He left the room and put a finger to his mouth, signaling the other two boys to whisper or not be too loud as Dowoon was sleeping.
"So, has the YoungK asked a certain someone out yet?" Sungjin teased, he still didn't know who it was exactly but he was starting to get the idea that it was a certain blond within their group.
YoungK turned a little red but it soon faded when he got control of himself, "Not yet..." he mumbled with embarrassment. He could tell Sungjin is able to see right through him now. YoungK wouldn't usually be so flustered when talking about asking someone out, he must really like this person. Plus, the red head would usually only hang out with his friends aka the people he lived with.
"I was wondering who was this person anyways, Brian." Jae said as he faced YoungK with a face full of curiosity.
The male only shook his head quickly, feeling the blood rush to his face. Yes, this was the common case of gay panic.
"I-It's no one...important..?"
The two scoffed, Jae crossed his arms and looked at Sungjin with a 'do you hear this guy' look. "Well if you like her and feel super flustered talking about her then she must be important. At least give me first letter name." Jae demanded with a playful tone, he knew how to get under YoungK's skin without even having to try too hard.
Sungjin gave a smirk to YoungK, wanting to know the first letter as well. Sensing he wouldn't get out of this situation, the red head decided to follow through. Practically 80% of Korea has this first letter in their name.
"It's J."
"Jae?" Sungjin smirked while pointing to their dear friend, Jae.
YoungK blushes and shakes his head, "The letter! Not Chicken Little Jae, the letter J, okay!"
"SHUT THE HELL UP, IM TRYING TO MOURN IN MY SLEEP!"
